Chapter 19

It was December 23rd, Finn's birthday. Millie was wrapping his present with a red holographic wrapping paper. Once she was done she added a bow to it making it look cute. She placed it in her nightstand before standing up and standing in front of the full length mirror.

She wore a long strapless light baby blush pink with white detail on the dress. She had a light subtle make up look. Her cheeks were coated with a rosy pink blush, tinted lip gloss, mascara and highlight. Her hair was in a up-do with two loose strands on each side. She gave one last look before leaving her room and walking down the stairs where her parents were waiting for her. 

She doesn't know if her parents are going to split or work it out. All she knows is that no one knows about it except her and Finn. So if they didn't all go together as a "happy" family or if her dad didn't go questions would be asked as well as rumors.

They walked in the house she instantly felt warm and a feeling of happiness. Finn was somewhere here in the house and just having him near made her feel better. 

"Oh Millie darling look at you" Mrs. Wolfhard says hugging her

"Where can i put this?" she asks holding the wrapped gift. 

"Over there at that table" she says pointing at a table right across filled with presents. She excuses herself walking away. She wasn't going to place down the gift, she just wanted to get away from there. She was hoping to find Finn and give it to him. 

"Millie" she stops walking once she hears her name.

"Hey sades" she gives her a hug and then hugs Caleb as well since he was next to her.

"Have you seen Finn?"

"I saw him walking to the back a couple minutes ago" said Caleb

"Is that his gift?" she asked pointing to the small box in her hand.

"Yeah. I want to give it him in person"

"Oooh is it condoms. You go girl" says Sadie making Millie's cheeks turn pink.

"Of course not. It's something else, something special. I have to go i'll see you later." she says before walking away. Her cheeks were still pink and still felt hot. Why would Sadie say that? Well the gift was the size of a condom box but she would never. She'll never do that with Finn, right? She shook her head to stop those thought and only had one determine thing to do was find Finn. 

Millie had been looking for him for almost half an hour. It didn't help with how huge his house was but at the same time she was listening to teens that were most likely high or drunk. She decides to take a break as she grabs a glass of apple cider. She decided that she needs some fresh air so she heads to the balcony. 

When she opens one of the balcony doors she is surprised to find Finn leaning his arms against the railing while he looked up at the stars. 

"Finn" she says closing the door behind her "What are you doing out here?"

"I just needed some air. I felt like my anxiety was kicking in " he says truthfully. Finn doesn't talk about his anxiety much but she knows that he hates hates being surrounded by a lot of people. 

"What about you?"

"I needed some fresh air but I was also trying to find you"

"Well you found me"

"I wanted to give this to you personally" she says handing the wrapped box to him. Their fingers touched when he grabbed it. He unwraps it and opens the white box, a gasp is heard when he sees what's inside.

"Do you like it?"

"I-"

"Wait there's another gift. Come" she says grabbing his hand going back inside and walking upstairs to his room. Finn was a bit confused as to why they were in his room.
