The Real Me// fillie

Chapter 26

The month was coming to an end and February the month known for love was approaching. Nothing new has happened, Millie is still being treated, everyone is still doing there own thing, they just haven't hung out all together in a while. 

flashback

"Come on let's go" whined Millie. Sadie was still finishing getting ready and Millie was already annoyed of her for taking 2 hours to get ready. They were already late to dinner, for Sadie's birthday dinner.

"I'm almost done" she said as she applied lip gloss. Her phone dinged indicating she got a message "Alright let's go, Caleb is already there with everyone else." She grabbed her phone and bag and started walking down the stairs while Millie was behind her.

"Who did you invite?" asked Millie once they were parked outside

"Oh you know just our group, including Finn" she said making Millie groan.

"Sadie-"

"Nope." she held her finger up to her "It is my birthday celebration so you are going to go in there and be nice to him okay. Just pretend you don't hate just for today please."

Millie sighed "Fine, but only because it's your birthday." They had walked in and made their way to the table where everyone was seated and talking among each other.

"Birthday girl is here!" exclaimed Sadie as she sat next to Caleb while Millie sat next to Gaten.

Millie and Finn made it through dinner  with at least 2 snarky comments to each other which is less than they have ever done. Eye rolling was what they did the most to stop themselves from making hatred comments to each other. They were all now at Sadie's house were the real party was going to be at.

Music was starting to get blasted as the boys started to bring in drinks and cups and some food for the guest that would be arriving shortly. Soon the living room was filled with drunk dancing teenagers as they swayed and grinded to the music among each other. 

"Ugh your such a player" she said as he walked in to get a drink after making out with some blonde girl.

"Stop hating Millie" he said as he filled his drink "You're just jealous, as always" he said  whispering the last part before walking away back to the girl as they made there way upstairs. 

She scoffed "I hate him"

End of flashback 

Millie smiled at the memory making her miss all her friends even more and laughing at the part of her hating Finn, where as of now the hatred towards him was all gone and replace by a new feeling. 

Millie was in her room finishing up hw when her nurse walked in.

"Hey what are you up to?" she asked

"Just finishing up homework"

"On a Friday night?"

"Well yeah there's nothing else to do around here" she said she couldn't exactly leave and go have fun.

"Hm come on. i'm gonna show you something"

She got up from the couch and followed the nurse. 

Millie gasped they were on the rooftop fairy lights were strung all around and there was a slight breeze that made her feel alive. She saw the other patients there, she's met some but hasn't exactly made any friends.

"So no other nurse or doctor know about this so just make sure to be in bed by 10" she says before leaving them all alone waving goodbye. 

"Hey, i'm Olivia" she had dark brown hair and she was wearing a baggy shirt with sweatpants. 

"Hi i'm Millie"

"Those are my friends" she said pointing to 2 boys and a girl. 

"Come so i can introduce you to them" Millie follows behind her. She meets them and learns more about them. that night she wasn't alone in her room she was actually feeling normal.

-Time jump-

It was valentines day, everyone working was wearing pink or red showing off the colors of love. Millie sighed, she didn't have a valentine not like she had one before. Sadie Lilia and her would go buy chocolates and watch rom-coms on valentines day but that was before Sadie and Caleb started dating.

Finn had appeared through the door with a smile in his face.

Finn had gotten her chocolate to which she scoffed at and asked him "You do know that i'm being treated for anorexia or did you forget?"

"It's chocolate, your favorite. I just thought-"

"That i'll eat them, do you not see where we're at? I'm not better Finn, i'm not better! I'm struggling to get back to where I was before and none of you guys are seeing that""I feel alone"

"I'm sorry i didn't mean to"

"I know you didn't, it's just i'm not getting better and i don't know how long it's going to take for me to recovery. I'm scared i'm so fucking scared. I don't know what to do anymore" he pulls her in for a hug which she accepts but then pulls away minutes later telling him that he should get going since visiting hours were going to be over soon. 

"Please leave"

"Mills" he said softly

"Finn" in a stern voice he knew better than to argue with her when she was mad so he nodded grabbing his jacket and giving her a kiss on the forehead before leaving. A tear slid down her cheek while he kissed her forehead.

She was alone crying while he was outside sitting on a bench upset the only thing between them was a wall.
