Because I sadly and miserably don't.

Do you know the feeling when you finally release the pain after carrying it for so long it stopped you from absorbing love from others? When the realization finally forms as you stand on your last breaking string.

You finally tell yourself, "that's it, I'm no longer waiting for something I know would never occur again." Are you familiar with that kind of relief in surrendering? That very time you start to refuse punishing yourself for everything you did and didn't do?

Do you know that sudden decision to make a u-turn back to your first original home; in yourself? The walk back in your bedroom, the sound of the door being locked; like an embrace from an old friend.

Do you know that feeling when you start being kind to yourself? When you finally start to forbid all mistreatments, and learn to cut out toxic people without feeling bad about it? Do you know the warmth of the truth when it finally touches your skin after you strayed so far from it?

Do you know this feeling of safety when you're finally able to pull your mind out of it's own built-in war zone? Because I sadly and miserably don't.
