"Our memories. They linger on me. I wish I never let you go because you were the best, and what I did to you was the worst.
I left without a moment's notice, and you were forced to unlove me. You were forced to disremember it all.
You were forced to accept an ending I promised to never deliver at your door. You ached so quietly— cried behind the curtains and smiled so widely on stage.
You protected me even after I hit you at the very spot where I knew it would hurt the most. It keeps me up at night.
You know, the regret of hurting someone who never wanted harm on me, the regret of ruining a good heart, the regret of damaging the very person who loved me through all my sunshine and storms.
