Avalon's P.O.V

"You didn't have to walk me in," I roll my eyes as we walk into my kitchen.

"Maybe I wanted to," he says.

"Why did you freak out like that when I told you about Cole?" I blurt out.

We were both surprised by my question. It wasn't my intention but it just came out.

His eyes didn't meet my hazel ones and I was growing impatient.

"Why do you ask so many questions?" He asks.

"I asked first,"I protest and cross my arms.

"Can't you mind your business, butter cup?" He says.

"Can't you tell your friends to leave me alone?" I ask.

He chuckles deeply, "he isn't my friend?"

"Then what is he?"

"Definitely not my friend and somone you don't need to worry about," he states firmly.

"What if he approaches me again?" I ask.

He sighs and ran his fingers through his hair. My eyes widened when I catch a glimpse of his knuckles.

"Omg Aiden," I gasp and walk over to him.

I grabbed his hand and felt over his bruises which were rough and hard with dry blood.

"How did this happen?" I ask as k examine his hands.

Silence.

I look up at him, his green eyes doesn't meet my hazel ones and I sigh.

"Cole," I say, my voice calm, "why did you do this?"

"I don't want him near you Avalon," he says calmly.

"And you think this is gonna stop him?" I ask raising my voice a little.

He shrugs, "he needs to know not to come near you. Especially you."

"What does that suppose to mean?" I ask feeling a bit offended.

He sighed for the hundredth time today. He uses his index finger to lift my chin up so I'm forced to look at him.

"I don't want you to get hurt," he tells me calmly.

I nod my head slightly.

Never had his eyes held so much danger and beauty at once. The color the forest held after it rained. I've never looked into his eyes this deep but I was truly capvitated.

Suddenly he leaned in and his lips gently touched mine. I jumped at the sudden contact but quickly eased myself and kissed back.

My heart raced as his tongue slipped into my mouth tasting every bit of me. I let out a soft moan as he pulled apart.

Our breaths were ragged, his forehead rested against mine as his breath hit my lips.

"We need to fix your hand," I say breathlessly.

He smiled before kissing me again, making me forget what I said two seconds ago.

He lifted me up my the legs and placed me on the counter. I wrapped my legs around him and pulled him closer moaning against his soft lips.

His lips traced along my neck, I tilted my head back just so he could have more access.

He then found my weak spot and I bite my bottom lip and let out a soft moan. I tangled my fingers in his hair and I felt him smirk.

"We... need... to fix... your... hand," I say between breaths.

"I'm fine butter cup," he says lowly as his lips explore my neck.

Suddenly, my phone rung causing us to jump apart.

"Shit," I mutter.

"Oh my God?" Aiden covers his mouth.

"What?" I ask as I take my phone out.

"You just swore," he points out and I roll my eyes.

I answer the phone without looking at the caller ID but it was too late.

"Hello," I say.

"Avalon!" Beverly's voice shouted.

"Yes," I say with a giggle.

"Omg how are you? We haven't spoken in eight years," she hiccups.

"Are you drunk?" I ask since I can hear the faint sound of music.

"Yes," she hiccups again and I roll my eyes.

"I needed to get loose. There are so many cute ass guys here," she chuckles.

"Please be careful. I would come and pick you-"

"Nope. I'm fine, I can take care of myself," she cuts me off as she hiccups again.

"Bye!" Her voice chirps before the line went dead.

Aiden looked at me with concerned eyes.

"Beverly," I say, "she's completely wasted."

"At least you know she's alright," Aiden says.

I shrug, "I guess."
