Avalon's P.O.V
Me and Aiden both rush downstairs only to see my mom and Tyler making out on the couch.
My eyes avert to the two empty wine bottles and broken glass.
Their drunk.
I sighed. They ruined our kiss because of this dumb crap.
Aiden stood beside me. I cross my arms and clear my throat loudly just so I could get their attention.
They pulled apart and looked at us.
"Avalon... I didn't know you were here," she slurred as she giggled.
"Well, thanks for scaring the shit out of us," I roll my eyes.
Fuck I just swore! I swore again!! What is wrong with me?
"Language sweety," mom says as she stumbles to get off the couch. She fixed her tank top and Tyler was just pulling his belt back around his waist.
I know they were not about to have-- nevermind.
"So the boyfriend is back?" Mom says as she reaches up in the cupboard and pull another wine bottle down.
"He isn't my boyfriend," I say for the millionth time. It's really starting to push a nerve.
Tyler smirks and looks at Aiden.
I felt Aiden grab my wrist and pull me closer to his side. He was tense, his jaw was clenched tightly and he was shooting daggers at Tyler.
"Where's Stormy?" I ask the question that's been on my mind for a while.
Mom shrugs, "I don't know."
"What? So he wasn't with you?" I question.
"Obviously not," she says and pops the bottle open pouring her and Tyler a glass each.
I run my fingers through my hair.
"Hi Aiden," Tyler suddenly spoke with a smirk on his face.
"What are you doing here?" Aiden asks through gritted teeth.
Huh? Was I missing something here?
"Do you two know each other?" My mother question, taking the words right out my mouth.
I was just as confused.
"Tell them, son," Tyler declared and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Son?" I ask, "He's your father?"
No! He's Charlie of the chocolate factory.
"Well isn't this great!" My mom chirps, "I'm messing around with the dad and my daughter is messing around with the son."
It probably took everything in Aidens body to not launch at his father. I noticed how much they look alike. Tyler was like a older version of Aiden.
"We aren't messing around mom," I take a step forward.
Who does she think I am? Her?
"It's obvious. He's always here, you barley even here and everytime I see you, your always with him," she folds her arms.
She's drunk. They both are.
"That doesn't mean anything," I defend.
Then, there was a scratch on the back door. Everyone turned their head in confusion. It stopped for a moment before it continued again. My stomach did flips.
Maybe is a raccoon. Or a squirrel, squirrels don't come out at night, right?
Being the scared person I am, Aiden went and opened the door with no problem.
Wow. This guy is seriously afraid of nothing.
Stormy came in. He was limping and whining. My eyes widened, I was happy to finally see him but the state that he's in at the moment was starting to worry me.
"Omg," I say and run over to him. Sadness filled his eyes, "What happened to him?"
I looked at Tyler and mom for an answer.
"He almost attacked us so we did the only thing to protect ourselves," mom says.
My hands graze over his fur. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You beat him?" I ask as I turned to look at her. I was on the verge of crying at this point.
Stormy was my best friend. He was everything to me.
"Of course, he was being a bad dog," Tyler spoke.
Stormy looked at me. I looked at Aiden who was furious. He was practically blowing steam from his ears. A single tear escaped my eye.
Aiden had his fist balled up at his sides. One more thing from Tyler and Aiden could explode.
I didn't want him to fight his father considering he's drunk as crap. I don't think I would like to know what the ending was gonna be.
"You aren't gonna cry over the dumb dog are you?" My mom sneers.
That's what pushed my nerve. I balled my fist and charged towards her.
I don't care if she was my mom. She is acting like a bitch right now and I can't help myself. It's wrong to do it but out yourself in my shoes.
She was doing everything just to make me upset but she's crossed the line.
A strong pair of arms grabbed my waist and pulled me back.
"No!" I screech trying to get out his grasp.
"You are such a ungrateful daughter!" My mother screamed at me, "I want you out of my house!"
I froze. Is she serious?
Tyler had a smirk on his face. He was pleased with the situation. If only I could smack that smirk from his face.
"We need to go," Aiden whispered in my ear.
"I'm not leaving him," I say referring to my hurting dog.
Aiden nod his head and picked stormy up. I followed him out.
"I wish you were never born," my mom tells me and slams the door.
I break down in tears. Why? Why did my dad have to go?
He was such a positive source in my life and without him I feel like I have no one.
"What are we gonna do with him?" I ask Aiden.
"We can take him to a vet," he says as he places Stormy in the backseat.
"What vets are open at one in the morning?" I ask as I wipe a tear.
"I know someone."
*♡*♡*
Awww what a sad freaking moment. I'm not gonna lie, I almost cried while writing this.
I love dogs and the fact that her mom beat him was very heartbreaking.
