millies POV-

"and then, iris straight up told everyone that finn was just using me, can you believe that?" i continued telling my mom a story, making her sigh.

"millie, some girls are just rude and don't understand morals." my mom sighed, making me nod slowly.

"i dunno, i just.. i thought finn was a good guy you know? but i guess i was wrong." i shrugged, looking down, as she grabbed my hand.

"maybe he is a good guy. have you tried hearing his side of the story?"

"no, there's nothing he can say." i shrugged, sighing.

"you don't know until you hear it." my mom smiled lightly, as i nodded, giving a small smile.

"i love you mom." i smiled, as she smiled back, giving me a hug.

"i love you too baby." she smiled, as i pulled away.

"well, i'm gonna be late to school, i'll see you after okay?" i got up, making her nod.

"well i'll be here." she shrugged, as i chuckled lightly, nodding.

i walked out, walking to the bus stop, as i sighed, dreading today. i don't wanna see everyone at school, everyone knows me as the loser who finn used for good grades.

"good work finn." the teacher smiled, setting his paper down in front of him, as he nodded, stuffing the paper in his bag.

"amazing job millie, your writing is one of our bests." the teacher smiled, as i smiled, seeing an A+ on my paper.

i looked up, seeing finn turn around in his desk, facing me. "thanks." he mouthed, as i nodded, looking down.

he turned around, getting on his phone, as i furrowed my eyebrows, opening my snap.

i left him on read, putting my phone back in my pocket, hearing him sigh, as i rolled my eyes, reading my book.

"well there's good news & bad news." the doctor walked in, as i sighed, looking down.

"your anemia is responding well to the medicine so i think you'll be just fine.. but, we need to run a few more tests. there's been problems with your heart rate, we just need to make sure nothings wrong." she smiled lightly, as i nodded slowly.

"when will i get the results?"

"maybe next week." she smiled lightly, as i nodded, getting up. "thanks doc." i mumble, walking out of the doctors office.

i walked home, listening to Rex orange county, as i sighed, walking in.

"sup!" maya yelled, from the living room, as i sighed, seeing her with her boyfriend.

"hey maya." i mumbled, walking to my room, & laying down.

i got a tap at my window, as i furrowed my eyebrows, walking over to it. i opened my window, seeing noah, as i let him in, giving him a weird look.

"i heard what happened." he sat down, as i sighed, nodding slowly. "don't stress about it, iris is a bitch to everyone." he shrugged, as i nodded, looking down.

"thanks." i smiled lightly , as he nodded, smiling. "ya know you could've used the door ya know?" i chuckled, as he shrugged, smiling.

"well wanna go do something?" he asked, as i shrugged, nodding.
