next morning from last chapter.

i walked into my house, as finn walked to my room. i walked in as well, plopping down on his bed, sighing.

we just got back from the hospital visiting my mom. she looked rough.

"i'm hungry." finn sighed, as i nodded, sighing.

"we can go get something to eat?" i sat up, as he chuckled, sitting up with me.

"mills i meant i'm hungry for you." he winked, as i rolled my eyes, chuckling. he kissed me softly, as i smiled lightly, wrapping my arms around his neck.

he laid me down on the bed, smiling into the kiss, as i pulled him closer, while he hovered over me.

i heard the doorbell ring, as i furrowed my eyebrows, getting up. finn gave a sad face since i stopped kissing him, as i chuckled, walking out.

i walked to the front door, opening it, as i looked up, gasping. i widened my eyes, seeing a familiar face, as i saw him smile lightly.

"hey millie." he smiled, as i backed up, giving a shocked face.

"daddy?"

"i heard my name." finn winked, walking in, as i punched his arm, making him yelp.

"who's this?" he put his arm around me, as i crossed my arms, giving my dad a rude look.

"it's so good to see you again." he tried to give me a hug, making me back up.

"what are you doing here?" i gave a confused look, as he sighed, looking down.

"i heard about your mom and i felt bad. i want to be here for you and maya." he smiled, as i scoffed, rolling my eyes.

"oh so you're here out of pitty? you've been gone for eight years dad. no text, no call, not even a letter." i gave a hurt look, as he sighed, giving a sad look.

"i'm gonna... go." finn gave me a look, as i sighed, nodding slowly.

"i'll be in your room." he kissed my cheek, walking out, as i gave a small smile at finn, turning back to face my dad.

"millie i'm sorry, but i want to be a part of your life again, just like old times." he smiled lightly, as i rolled my eyes, scoffing.

"that's funny, last time i remembered you didn't want to be in my life at all." i snapped, as he sighed, giving me a look.

"millie i've changed, i was going through a lot back then"—

"and you don't think i wasn't? i was depressed for months after you left dad. mom started getting sick, maya started acting out, and it was all your fault. we were all going through a lot, but family is supposed to help each other, not leave because they want space. you got your space, and you lost all of us in the process. so don't give me that 'i've changed' bullshit because i don't wanna here it." tears burned in my eyes, as he nodded slowly, looking down.

"i regret it. all of it. and i'm sorry, but i'm trying here, i want to be here."

"well i don't want you here. i don't even want to see your face, so just leave." i slammed the door in his face, storming back into my room, as tears started spilling out of my eyes.

"mills." finn gave a sad look, as i cried, hugging him tightly.

"i hate him." i cried, as he sighed, kissing my head.

"i know, i understand." finn whispered, as i cried in his chest, while he hugged me.

"and finn i never call you daddy" i gave him a look, as he chuckled, kissing me softly.
