Twenty minutes later Epifano got there. He was dressed in a suit aswell, he must have had a dinner to go to. But one glance into the hallway Mila suspected otherwise. She didn't miss the well dressed woman waiting nervously.

"Princess what happened?" He said as he kissed the top of her head.

"She was served Edamame and she didn't know that it was soy beans. And I didn't realize that it was until it was too late." Stone said.

There was a knock on the door and the doctor came back in. "Can you sign her admitting papers? We would like to keep her for monitoring."

Epifano frowned as Stone signed his name. "Why is he signing? I'm her father."

The doctor looked up in confusion. Then a look of awkwardness replaced it when he realized the predicament. "Uh... sir, we generally have the husband sign. If he wasn't here you would be the next person, or her mother."

All eyes went to Stone who didn't at all look bothered.

"I'll be back in about an hour to check on her before we send her upstairs." The doctor said before he made a hasty exit.

When the door clicked shut Epifano looked back at Alara who was completely out of it, then back at Stone.

"You've got to be-"

Right at that second Alara surged forward dry heaved into the tub she had been holding onto.

Stone got up and held back her hair. "We can talk about this later when Alara is feeling better." He said.

"Talk about...what?" Alara groaned miserably.

"I don't know how you're married to a man you've known for less than four months!" Epifano exploded.

Alara barely blinked, and Mila rolled her eyes. "Do you have to always be so dramatic Epifano?"

"Dramatic? Mila she is married and eighteen years old!" He snapped.

"I'm pregnant too." Alara piped up.

Mila gasped sharply, and Epifano looked like he was going to have a heart attack right there.

"She's joking. Alara stop playing." Stone sighed obviously not phased.

Alara giggled till she was breathless, which didn't take long and laid back. "Just kidding!"

Obviously the medicine was making her feel a little out of it. Her parents just didn't know that.

She started humming to herself, an old Mint Condition song by the sound of it.

Epifano sat down and pinched his eyes. "Alara do you have anything else you would like to say since... we're just dropping carpet bombs."

Alara sat up with renewed energy. "It was me who ate all of your beignets the other day. And I also drank some of your special coffee."

Epifano shook his head in amusement. He sighed and leaned his head against his head. "I know that was you darling you had sugar on your lips."

She smiled, "They were really good."

She turned to Stone, "Can we get donuts when we leave? I'm really hungry now."

"You have to stay over night baby, but I'll get you some tomorrow if you're feeling better. You've thrown up a lot today."

Alara pouted but nodded. "I really want to go home. Who's going to let Zeus out for his walk?"

"Zeus is fine. Bones will take him for his walk." Stone reassured her. He grabbed one of the extra pillows and put it behind her head. "Lay down and get some rest."
