Even though we had twins life was ten times easier than with the triplets.

I think part of the reason was that the boys were all older and I had a lot more help. The last time we had newborns in the house Charlie was a toddler.

Now I had plenty of hands who wanted to play with them, hold them, and sometimes change diapers. Diapers mostly went to Ezra and me.

The other reason was the girls were just so chill. Yes, we had a few rough nights but when we followed the triplets old schedule we had them sleeping through the night at three weeks.

I think the only time they absolutely loathed us was bath time. These little girls hated bath time. They screamed bloody murder from start to finish.

Their first baths were the first time I had heard Seneca cry.

She had a very kitten-like cry, not very loud at all.

The boys had taken to calling her Mouse and Sophia, Beans because she was a very gassy baby. The poor girl was always tooting up a storm. Just like Gabe when he was a newborn.

We found a way around bath time though.

Turns out they liked showers, I guess the water had to be in small quantities for them to like.

So when it was time to get them clean Ezra got in the shower and we switched when one was finished. It was very effective and they stayed calm.

Another reason why they were so calm and quiet because Ezra spoiled them. He never let them cry for more than a few seconds. Like... they barely had to make a sound and he was at their side.

"Do you want to hear the teapot song?"

Like right now. He was changing them into their pajamas for bedtime and swaddling them. I had just finished pumping some milk and I was peeking into their nursery watching him.

Ezra had Seneca resting on his shoulder and was picking up Sophia with his other arm.

"No, I think you want to hear that one about the dumb falling egg." He said as he turned.

He spotted me and smiled. "They like the songs."

I laughed softly and walked in. "Just admit you like them too. You old softy."

He smirked as he handed me Seneca. I was going to nurse her and he would bottle feed Sophia.

We had gotten another chair because our nightly routine had become sitting together talking about our days and giving them their last feed before bed.

"I did Noah and Sadra's ultrasound today," I told him.

"Mmm, how did that go?" He asked. The baby was still kind of a sore subject around the house but everyone was coming around.

Noah had gotten a job and quit the football team. Sadra's parents had... pretty much told her they didn't want anything to do with the baby or her if she decided to keep it. So she moved in with us.

She and Noah were staying in the spare bedroom in the basement. I didn't know exactly how I felt about them playing house so young but... the girl needed a place to stay and we couldn't turn out backs on her.

They both had also begged me to be their midwife. Sadra was very afraid of doctors and she had seemed to just latch onto me. So I agreed.

The girls were four months old now so I could spend a few hours during the day away from them while Mama C watched them.

"It went well, the baby is healthy. A little big too. I know the gender." I said with a smile.

"What is it?" Ezra asked.
