Two months laterIt was the last game of the season and we were right in the middle of a heat wave.
Ezra made me sit in the car for the whole game. For two reasons. He didn't want me over heated and two he didn't want me getting worked up over the umpires.
This pregnancy was going by so fast too. But it was very calm. I felt so good, I looked great. And I was planning to work up until two weeks before her due date.
Ezra wanted me barefoot and pregnant but I was not having that.
It was hot and I was having none of it. She was due at the beginning of September when it was probably still going to be warm out.
Being pregnant in the summer was not fun. But everything else was.
I was having a ball with my cravings. I kept like five boxes of toaster strudels in the freezer at all times. Plus vanilla icecream. I couldn't get enough of that.
We ran out once and I swear the boys hid from me the rest of the day because I was out for blood.
Speaking of out for blood. I spotted the girl who Noah was 'going out with' sitting on the bleachers watching him play. Sadra.
She had been over to the house once before. We met her parents briefly when they went out on their first date but I hadn't seen much of her since.
She seemed nice enough but I needed to know more about her.
I looked where Ezra was and he was sitting talking to Bones.
Maybe I would be able to sneak past him...
I got out of the car and made my way down the hill. I had to take the long way, which wasn't fun but I did it to get around Ezra and his watchful eyes.
I was almost to her when I this guy stepped in front of me. He was tall, young and skinny, so not my type.
"Hi."
"Uh... hi." I said looking past him.
"Are you here to watch the game?" He asked me. Obviously not getting the hint. I placed my hand on my stomach since he... still wasn't getting it.
"Ma! Do you have my Sunglasses?"
Thank you lord... I sighed inwardly as I turned to face Gabriel. "No baby, I don't. You loose those things more than you have them on your face."
Matty was right behind him with a frown on his face. He was looking at the guy behind me. Probably still as clueless as a dummy.
"Tommy you tryna hit on my mom?" He asked with a frown on his face. Oh so they knew this kid. Even... creepier.
"That's your mom?" The kid said with a surprised look on his face.
"Walk away before I have to punch you." Mateo grumbled.
Thankfully that boy walked away and I shook my head. "Anyways. Gabe check your bag in the little pocket. I put them there this morning. Matty stop frowning before your face gets stuck like that."
He huffed. "Where were you going anyways?"
"I am your mother. I ask the questions here. Not the other way around." I turned around since my cover was pretty much blown.
When I spotted my husband and Bones they were laughing obviously having seen the whole thing.
Mateo walked me to the bleachers then I was left to deal with these two clowns.
"Did he try and ask you out on an ice cream date Baby?" Ezra laughed as I sat down beside him. Bones covered his face and practically fell over like it was the funniest thing in the world.
"Hilarious you two." I grumbled.
When they stopped laughing Ezra looped his arm around my shoulder. "What he ask you mama?"
"Nothing just talking some nonsense. I was a little surprised, like... little boy do you not see I got a whole belly situation going on here?"
Ezra rubbed my belly with one hand and of course his little girl had to start kicking. "Wouldn't have stopped me from asking."
"Hi, Daddy's princess. Your Mama is so hot now I gotta go everywhere to be a nuclear deterrent." He kissed my belly before he leaned back.
I spotted the boy walking down the way towards us. He didn't even notice.
Ezra whistled lowly, his hand still rubbing my belly gently. When Tommy looked up fear immediately filled his eyes.
"You hitting on my wife kid?" Ezra said in an intimidating voice. I know he didn't mean it but the kid looked like he was ready to piss himself.
"I- I didn't know she looks twenty five."
Oh... well when you put it like that.
"She is very beautiful. But if I catch your eyes on her again you'll have me to deal with." Ezra said with a very cold glare.
He was so dramatic!
Tommy nodded, then took off running like a scared deer.
I rolled my eyes and turned my head to look at him. "You didn't have to make him piss himself."
Ezra grinned. "I do it for fun baby."
.
.When I got out of the shower I looked in the mirror closely. Did I really look twenty five?
I mean... people always told me how young I looked constantly but I mean I was still young. Atleast I felt like it sometimes.
I walked into our room and Ezra was in bed with his laptop. He had his glasses on which he rarely liked to use. He said it made him look young. But I thought it made him look adorable.
"You look so beautiful..." Ezra murmured as I walked across the room.
"I'm wearing your shirt and not so cute underwear." I laughed softly. I closed our door then climbed into bed with him.
"You are beautiful in nothing."
I grinned and looked down at my belly, "Your Daddy is such a charmer. I love him so much." I whispered.
I rubbed my belly but she was probably asleep. She had a pattern of sleeping that was much like the boys when they were in the womb. But she was way calmer.
She had such a gentle soul.
"I'm going to start putting her crib together tomorrow." Ezra told me. He finished typing something then closed his laptop.
We were doing a white and pink theme with her nursery. I'd found this pretty wallpaper with big flowers and roses all over it. It was going on the wall behind her crib. I wanted something different so I decided to do one wall only.
And her crib was an ivory color. I had these soft pink sheet set for her that I got at my baby shower. The best part of the room to me was her rocking chair. It was the same one we had for the boys but I redid the fabric to a soft white suede one.
It would be in the corner next to the window where we had a good view of the backyard and nice air flow.
I wanted her room to be peaceful and relaxing.
Ezra leaned over and kissed my belly.
"Daddy loves you and Mommy very much. So much he would buy the world for you." He whispered.
Ezra kissed me next and then we got settled in bed. "She's going to be a very chill baby. A big change from when the boys were newborns." I murmured.
"They were boss mode, she's easy mode."
