A few days later after we had gotten Charlie settled into a little routine I decided to introduce kids his age into the mix.

It was a nice warm day, probably the last really hot one we would have before fall came along. I invited Lydia and the girls over to come swim and play with Charlie.

I even invited Esther and Ruby who I was starting to come around to again. I hadn't been a fan of her for awhile but she apologized for her attitude towards me and we were working on it.

Besides our kids would end up playing together eventually. I just needed to squash it.

"Pai!" Charlie screeched as he ran into our room. Zeus was hot on his heels with a grin on his face. Those two were slowly becoming friends. I guess Zeus' unwavering affections were too hard for Charlie to resist.

Ezra groaned lowly and moved his head from under the pillow. "Pai." Charlie said again as he grabbed onto the blankets and started to pull himself up.

'Papai' was Daddy in Portuguese but Charlie called him Pai.

After day three of him offering food he finally came around and now he followed him everywhere nonstop.

"Charlie." Ezra mumbled when he finally got himself up into our bed.

His hair was messy and he'd taken off his pajama pants during the night. But he was as happy as can be.

I was already facing them with my stomach propped up on my pregnancy pillow. It was a must now that the weight of the babies was taking a toll on my back.

"Babies." Charlie said as he felt my belly. Mateo was up and squirming, he reacted to noise all the time and Charlie made plenty.

"That's Mateo." I told him as he pressed his face to my belly. Mateo kicked back and his face lit up. He moved his mouth to my stomach and started speaking to him.

It was so cute, he would say something like a question to him and then move his face so that he was pressing against his little legs waiting for his answer kicks.

"I need five more minutes..." Ezra mumbled sleepily.

Half an hour later Ezra started breakfast and Charlie was parked at his side talking his ear off.

After he ate, which was improving. We gave him snacks through the day so he would have a little security and not feel like anything was being taken from him. Sometimes I did find unopened Graham cracker packets in his bed but I let it be. He just needed to grow out of it.

But anyways. After he ate I got him dressed and did his hair. He had long beautiful curls that I definitely wasn't going to touch until he decided he wanted it to be cut. For now we would just out it up or put them in braids.

I loved doing his hair in the mornings, and he was so patient. He never cried or squirmed it was like he loved my touch. I was more than happy to give him all the love and affection he deserved too.

I think that was the only time she sat still.

By the time he was done and dressed in his little swimming trunks everyone had come over. Even Bones was here.

"Reagan won't go near water if I'm not within eyesight." He told us.

Little miss Reagan had a touch of a phobia for water. I had seen first hand how difficult bath time was for Lydia when it came to her youngest. She was like a wet seal that if you lost your grip on her once you weren't getting it back.

On the other hand, Tilly, Avery, and Ruby were all water babies. They jumped in before even we were ready to get in.

Avery was the oldest while Tilly, and Ruby were around Charlie's age.
