I forgot to eat today
Well mostly
The whole morning and afternoon I genuinely forgot to eat
It never crossed my mind
I drank my coffee and listened to music in the back seat while we drove
Then we got home and my dad made spaghetti for dinner
My mom isn't home
My dad doesn't watch
Doesn't pay attention
I didn't feel hungry
I didn't- don't- need food
And now it's 11:30pm and I'm in bed
My stomach growls and I realize I never ate
A wave of light sickness washes over me
And a wave of pride
A sick sick pride that I almost missed
