All that's left is those hanging balloons, the dropped confettis brought by the party poppers, and me and my husband on my main office. Yes, Sir Pascual still opened the Department Head position for me which I never asked for. Madali daw napakiusapan kasi relative lang nila and hated to admit na medyo bulakbol yung head dati.

"Ba't ka naman napunta rito?" I asked him. "You should be working now. I mean, you have been with me the whole week and I'm sure ang dami dami mong gagawin sa opisina."

"Gusto lang kitang i-welcome at i-congratulate dahil andito ka na ulit. You're home." he smiled at me. "That's the least I can do."

I heaved a sigh and smiled. "Thank you."

"Walang salamat sa nagmamahalan." he kissed my forehead. "All for your happiness. All for what you want and what you believe is right."

We stayed in that position for a minute. Whenever I'm in his arms, I feel safe. He is such a great friend, a great companion, a great husband, a great life partner, and a great person to each and everybody. Higit sa lahat, everytime I'm around him, I'm me. I don't plasticize myself just to be with him. I can be myself pag kasama ko siya dahil alam kong mahal niya ako at tanggap niya ako bilang ako.

"So, I have to go." paalam niya sa'kin. "Trina kept calling me since then. Hahaha. Kawawa naman yung broken na yun."

"Hanggang ngayon broken pa rin?" I asked. The last time I saw her was about three years ago? When I saw my husband and Zsazsa...yeah. Yun nga. When she made that kwento about her lovelife—or asaran perhaps with her pinsan.

"Ewan ko ba dun." he retorted. "Umuwi ka sa bahay kapag tapos na shift mo ha? Call me if you want anything, or call for help from St. Luke's staffs pag in case hindi ko nasagot tawag mo. Andito naman sila Lei at Pops para alalayan ka. Take care of yourself at wag magpapastress, okay?" bilin niya sa'kin. I chuckled at his reactions. He's acting like a lawfully wedded husband just now. Wala lang, nakaka-amuse siyang tignan. Hahahaha.

"Opo, boss." natatawa kong sabi. He parted ways with my forehead. "Ingat sa pagmamaneho."

He opened the door as he was about to go out, he uttered. "I love you!" then he closed it, didn't let me reply.

Natawa nalang ako sa inasta niya. I decided to start working. I made a bun with my long, wavy hair. Wala na akong pake kung magmukha akong labandera o ano, basta this is what I'm comfortable with. Konting retouch at pabango and I'm ready to go. I opened the door and walked down the hallway. I proceeded to the nearest nurse station para mag-inquire ng maaring pwedeng i-carry for a doctor's load. A newcomer usually starts on accepting out-patients para maging client nila in case of admission, but I have no idea who would still want me during my hiatus years. Kaya I should start unloading my fellow's loads because I know how hectic their schedules are.

"Hi, Nurse..." I greeted at agad itong lumingon sa'kin. My eyes widened as I saw her face and she gave me a big smile. "Lory! Namiss kita ah, andito ka pa pala!"

"Hello, Dra. Yes po! Namiss rin kita hehe." She kept the greeting short but concise. "Well Dra, you will shoulder Dr. Faeldon's and Dr. Umbao's two patients each, isang inclined case with  Dra. Fernandez from the Internal Medicine Department and lastly a united case with Dra. Padilla from the Psychology Department."
