"O, kamusta sismars?"

Lea was busy at her paperworks, Pops is also busy on her phone, and I am just staring at the both of them. Nasa opisina kami ngayon ni Lea, we're just coping up with each other. Actually silang dalawa lang yon at ako naman ang singit churvaness sa pinaguusapan nila. Of course, I am their friend and I just got back here in Manila yesterday night, I miss them so much.

"Hoy!" Pukaw sa'kin ni Lea. "Sasagot ka o papalayasin ko kayong dalawa dito? Kitang kayo na nga tong istorbo, di pa kayo makausap." she rambled.

"Ayos naman. I met his parents finally after how many years. Mababait naman sila especially his mom, we bonded for a short time. Tapos non we went to Subic na at dun nagstay. We did enjoy kahit nasa loob lang kami ng hotel, masaya naman dun. Naiintindihan ko naman siya kung bakit hindi kami makapagdesisyon na umalis sa isang lugar since yeah, I am pregnant. Sobrang ganda ng Zambales, as in! No joke! Punta tayo dun kung may offs tayo." I squealed.

"As if we're given one." Pops commented.

"Sa ating tatlo, ikaw lang naman nakakakuha ng ganun. Not because you're pregnant, it's because you are a superstar kamo." Lea second-demotioned. Ano ba tong mga kaibigan ko, ba't nagiging nega na?

"OA."

"Totoo yon." they gnarled at me.

"Pero alam niyo...I smelled something fishy." panimulang kuwento ko sa kanila. Halatang g na g naman silang makinig sa ikukwento ko at napahinto sila sa kanilang ginagawa, turning their attention on me. "Well...there's this one scenario that I encountered when I was at their house. Kasi naglibot-libot ako sa bahay nila, nakita ko yung tatay niya at si Ogie naguusap. They we're talking about our marriage...about Ogie not forgetting his reason why did he marry me. Ay wait...ganun ba yun? Ay ewan, basta parang ganun." I said.

"Malay mo that reason was he must love and cherish you until your last breath. Baka nag-ooverreact ka lang. Hormones are dominating you know." Pops said. 

"Well, look at the bright side. Wag kang papastress sa sinasabi ng matanda. You need to distress yourself. Tsaka kung may gagawin mang kagaguhan yang si Alcasid habang buntis ka, kami na papatay dun. Just prioritize the baby this time." Lea said seriously, tumango-tango naman si Pops to acede on what Lea said.

Siguro nga. 

"Aren't you having your rounds yet?" Tanong ni Lei kay Pops na kasalukuyang bumalik na naman sa pinagkakaabalahan niya sa phone niya. "Mag-eyeglasses ka na sana, puro ka nalang cellphone e."

Nabigla naman kaming lahat nang bigla nalang sumigaw si Pops na parang dolphin na high note. Gago? "Ay sorry, nag match naman kasi yung magiging boylet ko sa Tinder. Hahahaha!" humalakhak ito ng tawa. 

"Puro ka Tinder. Di mo naman mahahanap forever mo dyan e." my eyes automatically rolled. "Sakit sa mata at eyebags lang aabutin mo dyan kakapuyat. Hello, may career ka Pops tapos you'll stoop down on that shitty online dating level? Seryoso?"

"Ano ka ba, ngayon ko nga lang to tinry." she pouted. "Promise, I won't get addicted to this at hindi ko idedepende ang lovelife ko just through the screen like this." she said determinantly. 

"Patay ka talaga sa'min kung ganun nga ang mangyayari sa'yo. Be true to your words then." Lea used her serious tone.

"Whatever gals." Pagtataray naman ni Pops and in a snap, her mood changed and she smiled through the screen like a crazy jerk. Hay nako, ganyan ba talaga? Mababaliw kapag walang lalake sa buhay? Siguro at our age, ganun talaga. We're not getting any younger and we also need to settle and be assured in every step we make. We need to make decisions we shouldn't regret because life doesn't have a rewind button.
