"What else did the doctor say?"

We are actually in the middle of eating lunch with my husband. Nabingwit naman ako nito at nahila kung saan, I couldn't resist since I miss him and felt the need to cope up since siraulo kasi at medyo nag-away pa kami. I could not turn down his offer to eat outside. Besides, magla-lunch time na rin naman, and my shift ends at 2 pm.

"Hmm, Lani said that the baby was healthy and malakas ang kapit." I took a spoonful of food and chewed it before speaking again. "Well, the usual. I should start drinking vitamins and lots of milk to help my body in conceptualizing and generating its own milk for breastfeeding. There's nothing to worry about love." I smiled at him.

"I'm sorry, hindi ko naman kasi alam na may check-up ka today. It is your first and absent na absent ako..." he said sadly.

"It's fine." I held his hand. "Next month will be the next monitoring. Sasama ka na ha?" I chuckled.

"Yes Ma'am. I wouldn't miss it for the world." he jested a smile. "Aren't you busy? Yun naman talaga yung rason kung bakit mo ako pinagdabugan kagabi diba?"

He dropped his eating utensils. "Love naman..."

"What? I'm just asking, I'm not mad at you or whatever." I defended myself. E totoo naman talaga, wala naman akong sinisisi o binabalik na problema sa kanya. Maybe it sounded bad...I'm sorry? "Pero yeah, hindi ka ba busy?"

"Frustratedly finished all the work till early morning. Tinapos ko na lahat just to make it up to you. I slept for two hours to rest and rushed here to reconcile." paliwanag niya. "Laking gulat ko na lang na for an argumentative woman like you, you just jumped onto me and forgave me with what happened."

Argumentative.

Yeah right, don't you dare deny it self.

Hindi naman ako nainis sa sinabi niya because of course, totoo naman yun. "I don't want anything to ruin my mood. Ang saya ko tapos sisinghalan lang kita. Mali yon." I chuckled.

"You're crazy." he blurted out before drinking his service water.

"Baliw sayo." with matching dalagang pilipina ka-echosan pa. We laughed at each other and when finally recovered. Sabay na kaming tumayo. "Let's go?" pag-aaya ko sa kanya.

"Babalik ka ba ng ospital?" He asked me.

"Apparently yes." I sighed. "I have to finish my whole shift. I'll be at home at 2pm onwards."

"Oh, okay." tipid na sagot nito.

Inalalayan niya ako papasok ng sasakyan bago binuksan ang driver's seat. He hopped in and secured his seatbelt and I just looked at him doing that. He slightly smiled at me and started the engine as he steer those wheels and ran off that area.

"May i-kkuwento ako sa'yo." he told me. He suppressed his laugh by telling that and it made me so amused.

"Hala? Bat ka natatawa dyan? Ano bang kwento mo?" I let out a laugh also.

"I just can't imagine things like this, I mean, noon parang ang sawi sawi niya lang sa buhay tapos ngayon..." he let out a subtle laugh again. "Well, love, Trina is getting married."

"Oh my god." I was shocked. "Send my congrats to her ha! This is such great news! Anyway, have you met her fiancé?"

"Hmm, not yet. She hasn't formally introduced the guy to me yet, sa family dinner ata kagabi nakilala na nila pero hindi ko nga nasipot yung nasabing dinner since I was busy and Trina was the one to do the effort on flying from here to Zambales. And yet, me, left with piles of papers." he shrugged. "Kilala mo naman ako, I don't usually gather people around even hang with them in dinner or in formal parties."
