"You know what Lei, hindi ko siya maintindihan. Why the hell did he shut me out as easy as shoo-ing a dog? I mean, sige okay, stressed siya and I understand that thing. But we're going through the same thing pero not once hindi ko siya ginanun. I just don't get it." I rambled.
"Alam mo, nagiging OA ka lang sis. Hormones natin sweetheart." Lea said, glued on her screen.
"Whatever. Hormones na kung hormones! Hindi pa rin makatarungan ang ginawa niya sa'kin kagabi. I hope he realizes that." I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Malay mo Regine may problema lang talaga siya. Managing a big incorporation isn;t an easy thing. Baka may problema sa investors, or shortage of supplies, whatever buisness terms would apply. Baka you know, napuno lang talaga siya that time and naibuhos niya lahat sa'yo." ang anak naman ng may-ari ng Seda Hotel ang nagsabi.
"Pops, kahit na. He should be considerate lalo na't buntis ako. He shouldn't spit things like that at me especially if I'm approaching him. Sana man lang nagbigay siya ng warning o kaya sinabi niya sa'kin kung anong problema para maintindihan ko rin dahil una sa lahat, asawa niya ako." I spoke up.
"Hay nako girl. Mali ang ginawa ni Ogie, at mali ring nagiging senti at paranoid ka dyan." Lea concluded. "Kung ako pa sa'yo, tumayo ka na dyan, kumalma at maghanda na because you have an appointment with Dra. Misalucha in 20 minutes. Alangan naman mag-ultrasound ka nang may hypertension? Gagang to."
Mga kaibigan ko ba talaga sila?
I rolled my eyes once again at mailap na tumayo. Tinali ko nalang ang buhok ko in a ponytail style. Medyo mainit rin kasi, ewan ko ba. I also fixed my doctor's gown and stood up there, calming myself. Kailangan ko na ring kumalma because as what Lea said, anytime soon, I'm going to have my first checkup in my 5th month of pregnancy. Medyo kinakabahan because actually in the third month, I have to at least visit na my ob-gyne. But I chose not to because I prefer that in my first, gusto ko ng malaman ang gender ng baby. It's my choice though.
"Sige na, aalis na ako." pagpaaalam ko sa kanila. "Thank you nalang sa pakikinig. Jusko." stressed out kong sabi.
"Bye shuntis!" they both squealed.
Just because it was only three doors away from Lea's office and in the same floor of course, mabilis lang akong nakarating sa out-patient room ni Lani. I should call her siguro that na no, since sabi niya hindi na daw dapat ako mahiya? Hehe. I promptly walked and opened her door, and saw her glued on her computer screen. The door creaked and it caught her attention kaya nakita niya akong papasok ng opisina niya.
"Oh Reg, pasok pasok. Sit here." she stood up and I sat down.
She started checking me up, starting off with inhaling and exhaling, niramdam din niya ang tiyan ko. She smiled when she felt that the baby was also making its breaths and moving around my tummy. "Ang healthy niya, Reg. Compared to mine, it was weak. You're lucky."
"Thank you." I commented. "Should I lay down now? I'm excited to know the gender of my baby!" I squirtled.
"Kaya talaga you chose the 5th month ano? I understand." she gave me a light chuckle.
I layed down on that bed and exposed my semi-bloated tummy. It wasn't that big pa pero it's evident na buntis talaga ang lola niyo. She started to apply a special lubricating jelly on my tummy to make things smoother and also to prevent friction. She turned on the machine and when she felt that everything's ready, tinapat na niya ang transducer at nagsimulang gumalaw ang kamay niya sa ibabaw ng tiyan ko.
