"Here, let me help you." my husband offered. Agad siyang tumayo at pumunta sa gilid ko upang alalayan ako para na rin makatayo. He was kind enough to gently raise and support my back, just enough to carry my own self. Napaupo naman ako sa maikling panahon and gladly stood up when I felt I was ready.

Carla Regine, you're pretty heavy na ha.

Ogie went out and I went into the comfort room. Nang makita ko ang inidoro ay agad akong nagsuka. What? Morning sickness just visited me, na-trigger pa ng inidorong to. Huhu. I vomited white substances which is really really slimy and weird to see. Pumasok na agad ako ng shower at naghubad. I took a bath slowly but surely, baka kung san pa to mabunggo tong tiyan ko. While applying shampoo, my tummy growled by itself.

Hush now baby, kakain tayo matapos ko maligo.

Binilisan ko ang kilos ko at natapos ko ang aking paliligo within 10 minutes. Oha, kampon kaya ako ni the Flash. Lols. Well anyway, I proceeded to my walk-in closet and there selected what should I wear for today. I ended up wearing an infinity floral dress that is just pretty below the knee knitted falls. Pagkatapos kong mag make-up at magpaganda, tuluyan na akong bumaba sa sala and there I saw my husband setting up our breakfast. Lunch pala. Hahaha. 

"Oh, so you're done na pala. Let's eat." pag-aaya nito sa'kin. Napangiti naman ako at naglakad sa lamesa, umupo ng mahusay at nagsimula nang kumain. He also sat down infront of me and started munching down his plate. "Will I get to see you tonight?" 

"Apparently not baba." I sadly uttered. "Nag take off kasi ako kagabi and I have to put my working hours up on schedule. I'll be up all night."

He deeply sighed. "When will you have your maternity leave?" he took a spoonful of his food.

"Next month. Exactly seven months of carrying the baby. Only eight months lang kasi yung binibigay na amenities ng ospital. So the later, the better. Pero tama na yung seven months of pregnancy dun ka pa lang mag-ffile ng maternity leave. Mahaba pa kung i-eexplain ko kung bakit." I cackled. 

He laughed also. "Well, it's up to you. You know your body, at mas may alam ka dyan. Nag-aalala lang ako sa'yo kasi you know, maybe everything is stressful for you to bear. Bawal ma stress ang mga may dinadala, that's the least thing I can know." he joked.

"You're funny." I uttered. Tumawa lang ito sa reaksyon ko.

Nang sinubo ko na ang kahuli-hulihang kutsara ng pagkain ko, I wiped my mouth with the table napkin beside me and stood up going to the kitchen to wash my hands. Pagkatapos nun ay sumunod naman sa'kin ang asawa ko sa loob ng kuwarto because I forgot something upstairs, he also got dressed. I forgot, wala siyang trabaho ngayon so he's free to give me a ride to St. Luke's. Hindi ko naman siya masyadong mamimiss, ano? Hehe.

I opened his car and hopped into it. Buti nalang ay nakabukas ang pintuan nito at agad akong nakapasok. Inayos ko lang ang buhok kong sobrang kapal kahit hindi naman ako marunong mag-ayos, parang tanga lang, memagawa lang. In just few minutes ay nararamdaman ko na ang mga yapak ng asawa ko papalapit sa kotse. He opened his driver's door up and sat down. Marahan niyang hinawakan ang kamay ko bago niya sinimulan ang pag-andar ng sasakyan. Chansing rin to e no. Akala mo naman rosaryo tong kamay ko. Hahaha.

He started driving out of the subdivision. Medyo traffic kasi may nagbungguan doon mismo sa bukana palabas ng village namin. It was one hell pain in the ass and I guess, tuluyan na talaga akong ma-llate. Hay nako. Mga ilang minuto rin ang tinagal namin sa lugar na iyon bago makarating sa national highway. We were just quiet along the way, mahinang kumakanta lang sa tugtog ng radyo. It wasn't a radio, I thought. It was a chip. Flashdrive. I was startled when our wedding song played which I sang yesterday.

Nakarating rin kami sa ospital, sa wakas. I snatched my bag from the back seat. "So, bababa na ako hon. Let's meet tomorrow morning. I'll go straight to your office, is that okay?" I assured him.

"That would be perfect." he smiled. I leaned in to kiss him, the sweetest kiss I could give. Pabaon na rin sa hindi niya ako makikita buong gabi. "Mag-ingat ka ha, I love you." 

"Opo." I fixed his shirt dahil may kaunting gusot. "I love you too!" 

Bumaba ako ng sasakyan at dali-daling pumasok sa loob ng ospital. I was a bit shocked when I saw some mascots and clowns everywhere I turn my eye in here, on this floor. Sobrang daming bata rin sa paligid na naghahabulan, nagtataguan at kung ano ano pang ginagawang kaharutan. One kid bumped into me but he only scowled and got back to his business. Wow ha. Ano bang meron? 

"It's Children's Day, Reg." someone spoke and clunged an arm onto mine. Lumingon ako at nagtagpo ang dalawang kilay ko. "Sure akong busy si Lea ngayon, di ko yon mahihila ng basta basta. Huhu." 

Ah, ganun pala. Oh damn, I hate kids like these. 

"Hipokrita ka, ba't ka late ha!?" bigla niya akong sinapak at kumakas ang boses nito. "Ano bang ginawa niyo kagabi? Nag-sex ba kayo ha?" 

"Gaga!" I shushed her down. "You're too vulgar!" 

"So may nangyari nga?" hininaan na nito ang boses. "Girl, it's a big help no. Convenient ang childbirth, ganon."

"Still, I don't want to take the risk. May mga times na aroused ako, but I know my limits. Convenient ang childbirth? Ni wala nga akong escapades when I had Sarah, ngayon pa bang kay Carla Regine ako magiging hesitant?" I said. "Everything will be fine."

"Aish. Fine." she retorted. "Sige na, mauna na ako. I have rounds to do e. Bye!" Naalala ko tuloy yung sinabi ni Robin na inlababo siya kay Pops. Hahaha, ang cute cute siguro nilang couple. They're literally opposites with each other. Hindi ko nga mahanap kung san lang sila pwedeng magkasundo e. Hahaha. I was about to walk across the hallway nang may nagsilabasang babae at nagsitakbuhan.

I heard a loud thud.

"May bomba! May bomba!" 

I was stoned. I don't know what to do!

"Erik! Layla! Pia!" I heard so many names being called by their guardians while the crowd were busy running around the hall and yet the clueless me just stood there and observed what is happening in this hospital. May bomba? Ha?

I got back on my senses. Tumakbo ako palabas ng ospital but I was disturbed with a horde of people hurdling outside the small entrances of the hospital. Nagkakagulo na ang lahat, pati mga pasyente sa kani kanilang ward kasama ang kanilang mga watchers kaya't para kaming mga sardinas na nagsisiksikan sa ground floor. I was gasping for air because I was literally squeezed in this crowd that I'm in. Little did I know, I lost my balance and started to feel so dizzy. Halos wala na akong lakas na pwedeng panghawakan pa. 

In the middle of that chaotic crowd, someone pulled me and slammed me hard on the wall. "Putek, alis!" Napaiyak ako dahil sa sakit. 

Something was dripping off between my legs.

Blood. 

My world stopped turning and everything went black.
