XXii. Family Ties

Storybrooke. Present day.

"H-HENRY WAKE UP come on kid" Erica stutters as she shook him, as he was wheeled into a private hospital room by a group of nurses and Dr Whale, but the ten year old boy remained unmoving and that sent a very sick feeling to the pit of her stomach and the two sisters look at each in alarm as they continued to try and wake the brunette boy up -- But Erica knew without true loves kiss, he would most likely never wake up.

"W-What happened Ric?" Emma whispered to her sister just before the nurses asked the two to leave the room, but always the stubborn one, Emma lashed out at them forcing them to back off. Concern for her son blurring her actions "What were you two going on about? How can an apple turnover be cursed or whatever?"

Thankfully before Erica had the chance to answer, Dr Whale took charge of the conversation "He's none responsive -- Did he fall and hit his head?" He asked them as he checked over the boy's responses 

The blonde mother shook her head, not knowing how to describe it as she handed over the zip locked baggy to the doctor who took it but continued to look at it with confusion "He ate this, Erica thinks is poisoned" 

His air way is clear" Dr Whale said after checking the Henry's throat to make sure there was nothing lodged in his windpipe  "Did he vomit, any convulsions or disorientation? --"

Emma snapped losing all patience that she might have had with the doctor and ended up yelling at the man that was just trying to do his job "HE TOOK A BITE OF THIS AND THEN JUST COLLAPSED! So run tests for arsenic or bleach or whatever could have done this"

Dr Whale turned to the other blonde hoping that she was at least calmer "He is showing no symptoms of neurotoxins, so whatever caused him to collapse, this is not the problem or cause" He says as he held up the apple turnover which the Sheriff knew was laced with Regina's magic, but she couldn't exactly say that -- or she would have sounded just as crazy as the boy who was currently lying unconscious -- so instead, she just sighs and puts her hands up

"Then what caused it?" Emma hopelessly asked the man

"I don't know, thats what I'm trying to figure out" The man shook his head "But right now we need to stabilise him, because he is slipping away so is there anything else that you or your sister can remember that might help me figure out how to treat him?" 

Erica mumbled "True love kiss will work"

But her incoherent mumble was overshadowed by her sister who through her hands up and wandered around the room in her frustration, as she snapped once again at the doctor  "I already told you everything! J-Just do something!"

Dr Whale sighed "I understand your frustration Ms Swan, but right now I need something to treat because your boy is unconscious but there isn't anything physically wrong with him ... what I'm looking at is like--"

"Like magic" Emma finished for him as she tipped out the condense of Henry's bag on an empty hospital bed and at last the book fell out and Emma grabbed hold of it, finally realising what her sister was trying to tell her last night and what she was babbling about and a gasp fell from her lips as soon as memories flooded through her brain "It's real" 

"Where is my son --" Regina started to say but was cut off by Emma who dragged Regina into a cleaning closet which caused Erica to chase after them as she had a feeling what was going to happen. Luckily Erica was able to hook her arms around Emma's waist and was able to hold on through the struggling of the blonde

"YOU DID THIS!" Emma yelled as she struggled against her sister

"Emma calm down going up against Regina now isn't important what is, is Henry, I know it can be confusing to adjust to everything but I will help just as soon as we w--" Erica tried to explain to her sister in an attempt to calm her down
