New York City. Present day.
THE BLONDE KNEW that Henry was excited to see his father and get to know him, and why wouldn't he? But the problem with that was Erica couldn't feel the same way, because whenever she thought about Neal anger would set a fire in the pit of her stomach as she never liked the man from the start -- in fact she loathed him -- and that was because he always fuelled Emma's habits for stealing and lying and he took advantage the fact that she was young and just out of the system and because of that she was naive and that's why, with an eye roll added every time, Erica always called them the nickname Bonnie and Clyde"Erica you coming?" Henry asked as he spun around cutting off his father's words and grinning up at his aunt who despite the circumstances couldn't help but find herself grinning back at the eleven year old boy "Dad says we're getting pizza's I want to know if you'll come with me, you and Dad can catch up"
He seemed so excited to get to know his father again and he obviously wanted his aunt to come along for the ride and Henry seemed to opposite of his mother, whose face was pale and she looked like she was going to cry and as much as she wished she could stay with Emma and comfort her about having Neal back into her life but she also didn't want to leave Henry alone with that no good thief and besides she knew that Emma could handle the former Dark One (as she had done so before)
Looking at her twin, she gives her a sad smile and frowned at her slightly before turning back to Henry and calling out to him "I'm coming!" Before she jogs lightly to catch up to them and Neal glances at the blonde but she just ignores him as she entered the pizzeria and turned to her nephew and smiles when Henry's eyes go wide as he takes in the state of the pizzeria, marvelled by being somewhere else that wasn't Storybrooke, Maine "What do you want?"
"Cheese topped pizza please" Henry told the woman
"Of course buddy" Neal chuckles ruffling his hair and Erica rolls her eyes, Neal had only known his son for less than a day and he was. already acting like a friend towards the eleven year old and like they had known the boy for years already and Erica found it ridiculous how Neal would be a good father because of what she knew, Neal wasn't a good person so how the hell could he be a good father
"Okay I'll go get them" Erica said "Drink?"
"Coca Cola please" Henry grinned
Erica started to walk towards the bar to place the orders when Neal reached out to touch her and grabbed her arm "No, wait here with Henry and I'll go get them, do you want anything or should I just get something for myself and my son?"
She shook her head no and gestured for the man to go and get some food for the little boy and himself before she turned back to Henry and they talked for a little while until Neal came back with the food and handed the greasy triangle off to his son and they leave the pizzeria, Erica carrying Henry's foam cup and taking a few sips of the fizzy drink but Henry was too excited to even notice and met Emma and Rumplestilkskin back on the sidewalk
"What we talking about?" Neal asked Emma
Before the blonde got a chance to reply Henry cut into the conversation and looked up to his mother with pleading eyes "Emma, Neal wanted to show me the museum, do you think we could go back to the apartment and get my camera?"
Emma's eyes filtered from her sister to her ex boyfriend who she stared at him a little bit longer and Neal looks back at the blonde he hasn't seen in ten years before he stutters out a lame excuse "Well kids like culture, right?"
Obviously realising that Neal's answer was obviously, she looked over to her sister and shrugged her shoulders "Don't look at me I had no say in this, this was a plan that the two children came up with the idea"
