A TIE WAS thrust into Erica's hand and she quirked an eyebrow upwards, she had already been handed the uniform she was supposed to wear -- she had to admit she hated it -- and she took the uniform but the tie was pushing it "A tie? You know you don't need to dress a woman like a man, to give her authority"

"So you think you can get people to do what you want in that denim jacket?" Sheriff Graham asked her, he had asked Erica to come in today so he could go over her roles and duties as a deputy in this quiet today and they had been here for hours already and thats when Sherrif Graham bought up the issue of uniform and had handed her a tie and a beige officer uniform

"Look, I've been doing this job for years already," Erica tells him "I know what it takes"

"At least wear the badge" He sighed, looking at her with a sense of tiredness in his eyes as he goes on to further explain "If you really want to be a part of this community, you have to at least wear the badge"

Erica looked at the badge with wariness, yes she did want to start a life in Storybrooke, it was where her nephew was and where for the time being her little sister was. She felt like this could be the fresh start that the young woman had always dreamed about, but she wasn't sure if she was ready to leave her past behind, in order to truly start again, not to mention she still hadn't officially resigned from her other Deputy job in Boston, just yet still not sure if at the last second the young women would pull out, but with one look at the Sheriff, she snatched the badge from him and clipped it onto her jeans

Suddenly the ground shook, the moment that Erica clipped the badge to her jeans, making Erica fall to the floor and hit her hand hard on the desk, which causes pain to throb throughout her hand and Sheriff Graham to lose his balance a little, as he teeters on the balls of his feet and as Erica begins to find her feet and her balance as she stands back up, the phone starts ringing and as soon as the phone stops ringing another call makes the phone ring out in the quiet office

With a quick glance at each other the Deputy and her new boss spring into action,  both adults rush into the office answering as many phone calls as they can and assuring people that there was nothing to be frightened of but deep down inside Erica had serious doubt: Was it just a coincidence that the ground had shaken just after Erica had taken the job and clipped the badge onto her jeans? She quickly shook the thought from her head, she wasn't a saviour, she most certainly was sure that the town wasn't cursed like Henry kept informing the young women

"C'mon," Graham says to Erica "Let's go"

Storybrooke. Present-day.

"Emma!" Erica called for her sister trying to push back the array of people that had gathered. When she heard no response from her sister she tried to call for her nephew instead "Henry!". She didn't know if they were here, but if she knew her sister at all and if Henry was anything like his mother, then she presumed they would be here
