Chapter Two

Kai's POV

I looked up at the man as he grabbed my chin tightly tasting blood in my mouth. I glared at him as I tried freeing my chin from his grasp, but he only gripped onto it tighter. "Now, don't be in such a hurry to leave. We're just getting started". The guy said with an uneasy smirk. He threw me down to the hard dirty floor my body colliding with my brothers.

Chanyeol helped lift me up from the floor as we seen that we were surrounded. "Got a backup plan Kai?" Chanyeol asked looking over his shoulder to look at me for confirmation. I looked at all the men surrounding us eyeing them carefully. "Get ready to make a break for it, they have a surprise coming soon". I whispered. I knew the idea was dangerous but it was the only way out alive.

I nodded towards Chanyeol as I lifted him up, as he kicked everyone that was coming our way. I kicked one guy that was going to hit Chanyeol and watched as he fell down. Just as we were about surrounded again, in the distance we could hear sirens. Taking that as our cue to leave I grab Chanyeol's wrist and we make a break for it. "Quick their getting away". The leader says as the guys run after us. We both turn around running towards the exit that wasn't too far away.

Suddenly Baekhyun appears in front of us opening the door for us as the police burst through the back entrance. "About time you showed up". I said as we ran past Baekhyun. He smiled apologetically before climbing on his motorcycle. "Sorry I had a family thing to go to. Come on the others are waiting a few miles away". Baekhyun said as he started the bike.

Both Chanyeol and I get onto our bikes before following Baekhyun to where the others were. I checked behind us to notice that no one was following us. At least we made it out alive this time. I winced as my head hurt as the helmet rubbed the wound.

Baekhyun turned into an abandoned building where the others were at. This had always been our hangout spot. I parked my bike alongside Chanyeol and Baekhyun's. "Hey, what took so long?" Chen asked hopping off his bike. "Sorry I got caught in the wrong situation. Both Baekhyun and Chanyeol came to my rescue. But I'm here now". I said as I didn't want to explain what happened.

I was used to getting mixed into this kind of stuff rather I wanted to be or not. I didn't get a choice in the matter. My world was a dark place, my friends my only happiness of freedom that I get here and there. Life wasn't happy or carefree, instead I had to fight to live. And I didn't know sometimes if I would see daylight again. I hated night's because it meant no sleep due from fear.
