Kai's POV

"Thank god you're okay Kai. I thought we lost you. Don't ever scare me like that again. From here onward you will have one of us by your side". Chanyeol scolded. "Cut him some slack Chanyeol he just woke up. I'll leave you two to talk". Lay said before walking out of the room. Chanyeol took a seat beside me running a hand through his faded red hair.

"How much longer do I have to be here?" I asked closing my eyes. I heard Chanyeol suck in a deep breath making me open my eyes. "You just woke up from a week long coma wondering when you can go home. It sounds like you might be here for a few days depending if everything goes as planned. And your condition remains stable. But if all goes well they are talking two days. I talked with your teachers and they are excusing you from your homework as it is too much". Chanyeol spoke.

At least I wasn't out for as long as it felt like it. It felt like eternity since I last seen the world. "Hey, Chanyeol I appreciate you being there by my side when I was out. I heard everything you said and I'm not mad at you nor do I want you to hate yourself. This was my doing therefore I got injured because of my actions. You were just looking out for your brother to which I didn't listen. I want to apologize for my bad action that could have ended much worse". I wanted to apologize because that was what felt right. It was my fault that I was lying here, not him. Therefore I should own up to my wrongdoing.

"You were just doing what felt right to you at the time, which I can't blame you for wanting to be alone. You must feel like you're being suffocated with us guarding your every move. I better say this now before you leave the hospital. The meeting I went to was about your safety which I had with our parents through Skype. They had come to the conclusion that more guards are going to protect you when you go out in public which means wearing a celebrity mask to conceal your identity. It's in order to protect you from Mr. So and his men. And you still have your friends to guard you too. As for Kyung Mi, we're protecting her too. Even though it is her father I don't think he will put her in harms way, but if it were to happen we volunteered to guard her. Also your curfew has been bumped down so you can't go out alone due to what just happened".

I nodded taking what Chanyeol said into consideration to heart. While it did hurt me to know that I couldn't be alone I was open to be better guarded. "I agree to every term including being better protected and I'll listen to the rules. And I thank you for protecting Kyung Mi".

. . .

Kyung Mi's POV

The whole entire week felt weird without Kai's presence around. My world felt empty without him around. The whole entire school was talking about what supposedly happened, but in reality wasn't the truth. No way was Kai a drug dealer, nor did he do drugs. I worried for his safety as this man in black kept coming after him resulting to his current condition. I wanted to know more, but feared if I got involved what would happen. I was told by my dad that I had to stay away from them, more specifically Kai. He wouldn't go into specific details but would say that Kai wasn't a safe person to be around and that anyone close would be harmed. How did my dad know so much information on Kai that I didn't even know?

"I heard that Kai has been selling drugs on the black market that landed him into the hospital. Who would of thought that the bad boy with moves could be a druggy. Even Chanyeol hasn't been in school the whole week. What's up with that?" A girl behind me spoke catching my attention.

"Hey, don't be spreading rumors that you know aren't true. Kai isn't into drugs and Chanyeol is visiting Kai while he is fighting for his life. So stop spreading rumors that you aren't sure yourself". They spoke of Kai as if he was the one doing something wrong when he was only protecting himself.

"And you know Kai so much better? Then how is Kai really like Kyung Mi?"  The girl asked leaning in closer. I bit my lip looking between the two. "All I know is that he isn't a drug user. And you got Kai all wrong. All you portray him as is the villain all the time when actually he is a very nice guy once you get to know him. He is none of those things you said. Kai has a heart just like any of us. He is human not a heartless person". I turned around in my seat ignoring the looks around the room.

I was taken out of my thoughts when someone sat in Kai's seat before nudging my shoulder. I looked over to see Chen sitting there looking at me. "I got word that Kai is awake. After school you're welcome to come with us to see him. That is if you want to". He teased with a smirk. He nudged me with his arm. "Of course I'll come with you guys. Besides I think I'm going to tell him what I been wanting to tell him. It's way past overdue". I was nervous to say the least.

"I imagine that he will love this gift of yours. At least someone treasures his heart for once". Chen said with a smile before leaving the chair empty once again.
