Chapter Fourteen

Kai's POV

When Kyung Mi came to visit I wasn't expecting her at all. At least not after what happened. I kept breaking my own rule of staying away from her or her from me. It was becoming to be proven difficult as my heart kept betraying me. She made me feel things I haven't felt before. And it scares me. It's why I made my rule of pushing her away, but obviously I can't do that. "What are you doing to me So Kyung Mi?" I asked aloud shaking my head.

I looked at the gift bag and grabbed it. It had green paper inside it, as I searched in the bag I pulled out a stuffed bear dressed as a giraffe. A smile came to my lips as I seen the bear. How did she know I liked bears? I searched the bag once more remembering that there was a letter inside. My hand grasped the letter taking it out I opened the envelope. My eyes scanned the paper back and forth as I looked at her neat hand writing.

Dear Kai,

I wanted to thank you for saving my life on that faithful day. If it weren't for you being there I would probably be six feet under now. I'm writing this letter as a thanks as my appreciation for saving me. I hope you like the bear I got you. For some reason I had thought the bear suited you and decided to get one. It can be the item that sends comfort in a lonely hospital.

I hope you have a quick recovery and look forward to having you as my desk mate. Take care of yourself. Again thanks for everything.

I folded up the letter and stuffed it into the bag. I took the bear in my hand and smiled as bears were my favorite animal. "Ah, I see Kyung Mi got you a present". Chen said as he walked into the room. "Yeah, she got me a get well present". I said as I set the bear aside. Chen took it in his hands looking at it. "That was really nice of her. She cares about you, you know". Chen said as he set it on the table.

I nodded running a hand over my face. "I know she does. And I'm starting to care about her as well which scares me. I never felt this way before. Pushing her away isn't working". I said as I looked at my medical bracelet.

"Oh, someone is finally getting a crush". Chen teased.

I looked at him wide eyed.

Perhaps I was falling for So Kyung Mi?
