Chapter Twenty Nine

Kyung Mi's POV

My heart raced at the mention of what I wanted to tell Kai. There was no way of telling how he would react. Would he be angry? Would he be overjoyed of the idea? I never felt this way with anyone before let alone the bad boy of our school. Kai was different than all the other guys, I guess that's what separates him from them. There's something about Kai that just draws me towards him like an invisible pull that is irresistible. His dark aura that surrounds him alerts me to stay away but at the same time it intrigues me much like the rest of him.

I want to get to know the real Kai. Not the cold hearted Kai or the moody one. I want to know what's down deep beneath that black heart of his. I seen a side of him that shows his softer side, one that isn't seen often. But when he does show it I fall harder for him. The dark side of Kai and the lighter side of him pull me deeper into his web that I'm drawn to. I want to know him despite what my father says.

"Someone is blushing she must be thinking of a certain someone". Sehun joked taking me out of my thoughts. I watched as Suho playfully hit Sehun. "I'm not blushing I'm just confused that's all". I replied second guessing my decision.

"Hey, relax he'll surprise you with what he has to say. Don't get yourself overwhelmed by thinking of the what if's. Just live in the moment. As being his friend for years you're the first girl he has ever felt connected to. Most girls don't catch his eye. But you So Kyung Mi are something special. Don't lose your faith yet, give him time to process it. He's new to this as well". Xiumin reassured me.

I felt a sense of relief in Xiumin's words, yet I still feared of the unknown factor. One could out weigh the other and I hope it's the better one than I am thinking. "You got this Kyung Mi. We support you. Follow what your heart is telling you. It knows the way". Suho encouraged me as we made it to the hospital.

I looked at the door that leads to Kai's room my heart racing wildly. My palms sweaty and my legs shaky I looked at Kai's friends one last time. "You got this Kyung Mi". Lay said patting me on the back. I nodded before turning the handle and walking in. Here it goes Kyung Mi, the moment you been waiting for. You got this". I mentally gave myself a pep talk before walking in.

When I entered the room Kai was sound asleep, but jerked awake when the door shut. Kai looked at me groggily his face reflecting relief once he saw me. "Kyung Mi w-what are you doing here?" Kai asked carefully sitting up.

"Chen told me you were awake so I came to see you right after school ended. It's such a relief to see you awake again. How are you?" I asked sitting on the sofa. Kai looked at me tiredly before running a hand through his lilac dyed hair. "Better that you're here. I've missed your voice since you were last here. What was the important thing you wanted to tell me once I woke up?" My eyes grew wide at the mention that he remembered our conversation. I knew comatose patience could hear everything but I honestly didn't think Kai would catch on.

"Oh, um about that. The thing is. . . I really like you Kai. I've liked you for a long time I just been so afraid of telling you. That night in the woods you saved my life and again at school, those moments I will forever be grateful towards you. Every time I see you my heart races and the butterflies in my stomach wildly flutter. I want to get to know you better and maybe see where this goes. Those days without you near my world feels empty without your presence. So I'm telling you how I feel by saying that I like you Kai". A huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders as I spoke the truth.

I nervously waited on Kai's answer the only sound in the room was the heart monitor and my racing heart.

"There's something I been needing to tell you to So Kyung Mi. . .
