Chapter Thirty One

Kai's POV

I been out of the hospital for a few days now which gave me time to plan our first date. With the little help of Chanyeol and Baekhyun we'd all come up with the perfect idea. To say the least I was happy that I had friends to help plan a perfect date, one that wasn't your average first date. Kyung Mi was a special girl and a special first date is what she is going to get.

"Since when did Kim Kai worry about how he looked? You changed clothes like five times. I swear you're worse than a girl. You look fine Kai". Chanyeol spoke interrupting my thoughts. "Um, since now basically. I want to look nice she's a special girl Chanyeol. And does this look okay?" I asked looking at Chanyeol as he leaned against the door frame.

"Yes, you look fine. And I'm not saying that because I'm your friend. I'm saying that as your brother. The guys already have everything set up. D.O made you both dinner which is already prepared for. All we have to do is pick her up". Chanyeol gave me a smile which I returned feeling nervous. "You got this Kai. Just be yourself". Chanyeol reassured me.

I looked at myself in the mirror my nerves getting the best of me. "Alright let's go". I said as I walked passed Chanyeol.

Kyung Mi's POV

I was nervous to say the least especially this was my first date with Kai. But what I was most nervous about was my father. He didn't know I had a boyfriend let alone that it was Kai. I was supposed to stay away from him.

"You look amazing Kyung Mi. Kai is going to love it". My friend Hana said as she looked me over. I tucked a piece of black hair behind my ear looking at my red sweater with black leggings and black heels. "You sure it isn't too much?" I asked as she beamed at me. "Of course not. You look fine. Kai is going to love it".

Our conversation was cut short when the door bell rang. "That's him, now go get your man". Hana said as she guided me down the stairs. When I opened the my heart sped up. Kai looked absolutely handsome in his dark clothing.

"You look beautiful Kyung Mi". Kai said as he looked at my outfit. I could feel my cheeks heating up not used to the attention. "And you to look handsome Kai". I said as he looked amazing in his outfit his hair styled different than usual. "Should we get going?" Kai asked taking my hand. I nodded feeling my heart flutter. I don't ever think I will get used to this feeling.

Parked at the curb was a black Land Rover. Kai opened the door for me letting me slip in Kai sitting next to me. In the drivers seat was Chanyeol his red hair fading. "Hey, Chanyeol long time no see". I joked. Chanyeol flashed me a smile before putting the car in drive. "Nice to see you to Kyung Mi". Chanyeol said as he looked back at me.

Suddenly I felt a blindfold go over my eyes, my world shifting to darkness. I could feel Kai's hot breath on my neck sending chills down my spine. "It's a surprise which is why I blind folded you. I can't have the surprise ruined if you see it. Do you trust me?" Those words echoed in my mind my body relaxing. I nodded. "Yes, I trust you". My voice came out more confident than I expected.

"We're almost there". Kai reassured me as I could feel his hands in mine. I was curious as to know where we were going, but didn't ask as it was a surprise. I could feel Kai's cool hands in mine which slowed my racing heart.

I could feel the car come to a sudden which alerted me that we arrived to our destination. The sound of the door closing made me jump. I heard a chuckle beside me knowing that it was Kai. I could feel myself being guided out of the car before the sound of the crashing waves made its way into my ears.

"We'll just be up the beach. Call if anything out of the ordinary happens. Have fun". I heard Chanyeol say before the sounds of his footsteps faded. Suddenly I felt the blind fold being loosened before the scenery came into view. "Now open your eyes". Kai whispered into my ear. I opened my eyes seeing the ocean and the candle lit dinner sprawled out on a blanket.

"You did all of this? It looks amazing Kai". I said while looking around in amazement taking it all in. I heard a Kai chuckle beside me before guiding me over to the meal. "Actually my friends helped me set all of this up. D.O prepared the meal for this. So he takes credit for the meal. I hope this is okay for a first date". Kai said as he handed me a plate.

"Are you kidding me this is the best first date imaginable. I wouldn't have imagined a beach date". I said as we started eating.

For a while we talked just getting to know one another just stargazing seeing a few shooting stars. All of this was truly amazing. A night I sure won't forget.

"We haven't even gotten to the best part yet. Watch to your left and you'll see the other surprise". Kai pointed to his left my eyes following his finger. "There's another surprise?" I asked looking at his features the moonlight casting an angelic lighting over him. "Look". Kai said pointing to where suddenly fireworks were being displayed bursting into color.

"You Kim Kai are full of many surprises". I said looking at the fireworks in awe. "There is more to come". He said as he stood up to take photos of the fireworks. I took this opportunity to sneak a photo of him enjoying both views. Perhaps this was where our journey begins.

Mr. So's POV

"I did as I was told Sir, and I took these while following her as you commanded". I looked down at the pictures displayed out in front of me shaking my head. "Don't get involved yet. Just let them be I need him at his peak. Keep following them around until I tell you to pull the next move. I need that boy unharmed".
