Chapter Six

Kai's POV

As soon as I walked into the classroom I saw Kyung Mi glance my way. When I walked by her I pretended to ignore her as I couldn't get involved with her. I kept telling myself that I couldn't get involved. I sat down at my desk looking out the window to kill time before our home room teacher came in.

"Alright class since it is fall I had decided to give you new seating arrangements. You'll be there for the rest of the year. If you hear your name go sit by your new desk mate. So Kyung Mi you're gonna be sitting next to Kai". When teacher said her name I jerked my head up seeing Kyung Mi make her way next to me. You got to be kidding me. I'm supposed to be staying away from her. I can't get involved. I kept reminding myself.

I watched as she sat down beside me glancing my way. I lied my head on the desk closing my eyes. As soon as I was about to doze off I could feel eyes on me. The only person it could be was Kyung Mi. I opened my eyes to see her hazel ones staring at me intensely searching my face. Upon seeing me look at her she looked away opening her book.

The more I sneaked glances at her, I felt this tug on my heart. Why now? Why her of anyone. I'm supposed to avoid Kyung Mi. Why are you doing this to me heart? I stood up from my seat grabbing my things. "Sorry I feel unwell Ms. Bell". I said walking out of the classroom.

I ran towards the rooftop of the school pacing back and forth trying to get my head straight. Never in my life have I been this conflicted. I couldn't let her get mixed up into my world. It would destroy her. It's destroyed my world.

"If you keep pacing like that you'll wear a hole in the roof". I turned at the sound of the voice seeing Suho standing by the door. Since when did he arrive? I thought I was alone on the roof. "Why aren't you in class?" I asked leaning against the edge. Suho shrugged. "I could ask you the same. D.O told me you ran out of class saying you were sick. But knowing better that you would be up here". Suho said as he stood in front of me.

Suho was our eyes of the school. He knew everything and everyone. Luckily he was a good friend of mine. "I just needed a minute". I said stuffing my hands in my pockets. I looked at the cement remembering last nights events. "Chanyeol told me what happened". Suho whispered. I looked up at him not surprised. "Of course he told you". I said shaking my head.

"Are you gonna be okay? I know she's the daughter of-"Suho, please don't say her name okay. I can't handle it right now. I can't even speak to Kyung Mi after yesterday and she's my seat mate until the end of the year". I stated feeling flustered.

Suho nodded knowing it was a hard subject. "Look Kai, I wasn't trying to bring up a hard topic. But you have to figure out what to do. You put her life in jeopardy including yours. Somehow some way you need to fix this". I watched as Suho walked towards the door his words ringing in my head.
