Kyung Mi's POV

The sound of the dry fall leaves crunched under my feet as I was walking my dog V enjoying the fall air. In a few days I would be going back to school as we're on a fall break. Fall was my favorite season as you see all different warm colors on the trees and ground as a new season begins. Each season has its beauty and perks. But by far fall warms my heart.

I sit on a bench in a nearby park as V jumps on my lap wagging her tail. As I rubbed her head she lets out a little bark. "What is it V?" I asked rubbing her head. She jumps from my lap taking off in the opposite direction we were once headed. "V get back here? What's gotten into you girl?". I asked taking off after her. Nearby people looked at me weirdly as I chased after a dog. Although V was small she could sure run.

As I looked all around outside the park V was nowhere in sight. Not even her bark could be heard. I looked in circles not finding her. I turned around to see a boy around my age and decided to ask him. He was texting on his phone not noticing that a tree was in his path. "Look out!" I shouted hoping he'd hear me. He looked up just in time avoiding the tree. I ran up to him tapping him on the shoulder.

When he turned around I noticed that it was my classmate Chen. "Oh, hey Kyung Mi what's up?" He asked showing off his famous smile. "Hey, Chen you haven't seen a white dog by any chance around here have you?" I asked. Chen shook his head. "No, sorry I haven't. What does the dog look like?" Chen asked looking around. I pulled out my phone showing him the picture of V. "No sorry I haven't seen it. What's the dogs name so that if I do see it I can holler for it".

"Her name is V. She's not a mean dog or anything. It's out of character for her to run off". I stated looking around. "You mind exchanging numbers that if I find her on my way home I can call you. Does that sound okay?" Chen asked handing his phone to me. I nodded.

"Sure that works". I put my number in his phone before handing it over to him. "It was nice seeing you Kyung Mi. Hope you find your dog. I better must be going home now. See you in school". Chen said as he walked away. "Bye Chen see you around". I hollered.

As I kept looking for V I found no sign of her. I was now looking on a hike trail that was by the park. I knew this trail like the back of my hand. But in the darkness it was completely different. It was eerie and any sound would make you jump. "V where are you girl!" I shouted pulling out my phone light to light up the path. I got no answer back as I yelled out for her. I sighed in frustration as silence answered me back. "Where could she have gone?" I wondered now entering a clearing in the woods.

Suddenly I heard a twig break behind me startling me out of my skin. "Who's there?" I asked looking around but saw nothing. Silence followed as I continued to walk in the clearing. Once again the sound of a twig broke. Where was my pepper spray when I needed it. "Come on out and show yourself". I stated. My phone light didn't expand far enough for me to see.

Out of nowhere I was knocked down. Dirt and leaves got tangled in my hair as he pushed me to the ground. He pressed his hand over my mouth and whispered, "Be quiet or they'll hear you". I shined my phones light on him noticing it was Kai my classmate the bad boy of our school. His words sent chills down my spine as I could feel his hot breath fanning my face. The close proximity was enough to make my heart race. In the distance we could hear people shouting in the darkness of the night. I watched as Kai put a finger to his lips signaling me to be quiet. I could only nod fear gripping my heart.
