No violence came to Michelle after her actions but there was plenty of hatred from both of them. John honestly thought he was doing the right thing while she believed he had no right to do it. On the way to school, Natalie had plenty of things to say to John.
"I can't believe the way you acted with Michelle yesterday," Natalie said.
"Oh, come on," John said in disbelief.
"I'm serious. Michelle has finally met someone that's good for her and you want to get in the way of that?"
"Michelle can do better than Daniel,"
"No, she can't. Michelle still has a bad reputation,"
"Well, it's not my fault she decided to fuck someone at the party,"
"That's not the point, you're her brother. You could have been nicer to her about it,"
"She damaged my reputation. How nice did you expect me to be?"
They continued to argue about it until they got to school. Michelle was walking up the walking path and Natalie saw her as she got out of the car. John was about to walk through the front entrance when he noticed that Natalie hadn't followed him like she always did.
"Natalie, are you coming?" John asked.
Natalie looked at John sharply.
"I'll talk to you later," she said.
He sighed annoyed.
"Fine," he said. "Maybe later I'll convince you I'm right,"
He walked onto the school grounds while Natalie walked across the road and onto the walking path to walk up to Michelle.
"Hi Michelle," Natalie said. "How are you doing?"
Michelle wasn't in the mood for small talk.
"Natalie, I have a favour to ask you," she said.
Natalie listened very carefully to what the favour is.
*****
It was during the first lunch break when Natalie caught up with John. He was with their friends behind the canteen as she walked up to him. He noticed the serious expression on her face and didn't like it.
"Natalie, what's wrong?" John asked.
"We need to talk," Natalie replied.
He felt his heart in his throat when she said that and feared the worst.
"What do you need to talk about?" he asked.
"Ut oh," a male friend said. "Looks like she's dropping you, mate,"
"Fuck you," he said.
"I'm not dropping him," Natalie said to the male friend before turning her attention to John. "But we do need to talk. So let's go somewhere private,"
Although John felt some relief he still felt some apprehension because he couldn't understand what she needed to talk to him about. So they walked up the hill and stood under a tree.
"Okay, what do you need to talk about?" John asked annoyed with his confidence restored.
"You're going to leave Michelle and Daniel alone," Natalie said.
"What makes you think I'm going to do that?"
"You're going to do it because if you don't, we're going to stop doing it,"
He couldn't believe what she was really saying.
"What?" John asked.
"That's right, John," Natalie said. "No more trips to my house for an after school special, no more sneaking around. In short no more sex from me,"
