Prologue Part 1

On the island of Patch in the world of Remnant we find Xiao Long/Rose family enjoying a fun day outside. We see A man playing with his two daughters one of them is older and blonde the other is younger and has red and black hair. This man's name is Tai Xiao Long and his daughters names are Yang and Ruby. Yang is the older sister and Ruby is the younger sister. They are playing and enjoying themselves as the sun shines down on them. We also see a young boy looking out the window as the family plays. The boy's name is Y/N and yes he is the son of Tai and yes while his sisters play with their father he is stuck inside cleaning.

No Y/N hasn't done anything wrong it's just that he is alive. His father and sister Yang physically, verbally and mentally abuse Y/N. Tai will punch, kick and whip Y/N for the smallest things such as he was to loud while Tai and the girls were eating or Y/N didn't clean fast enough. Yang would use Y/N as a punching bag she'd break every bone in his body. One of their favorite tortures were tying up Y/N and watching him slowly drown. A form of punishment Tai would always use was that he'd burn or stab Y/N with a hot blade on his right arm. Y/N was starved and malnourished his clothes were simple rags, his shoes and socks had holes in them.

Normally a regular person would die from all of that torture but Y/N is not a normal person. At the age of 5 Y/N discovered his semblance Adaptability. The semblance let Y/N's body heal and change to survive just about anything. Tai knows this and pushes the limits of what he does to Y/N. One time Tai nailed Y/N to a tree by his feet and left him outside for weeks. Only when Qrow Branwen Y/N's, Yang's and Ruby's uncle would come by. That was the time when Y/N would get a pair of new clothes and food to eat. Tai did his best to hide the torture of Y/N from the man. When Qrow would leave the torture would pick back up and the longer Qrow stayed the more the torture would last.

It wasn't always like this at some point Y/N was happy Y/N was loved and cared for. The reason for this was because of his mother Summer she was an amazing woman and the greatest mother ever. Y/N was born a few months after Summer and Tai became married. You see Yang isn't Summer's child her mother is a woman named Raven. Summer, Tai, Raven and Qrow were on a team of hunters when they attended Beacon Academy when they were younger. When Raven left Tai he got together with Summer.

Tai was a loving father to Y/N at first but then his attentions turned when Ruby was born. Tai would spend less and less time with Y/N as time went on. The marriage between Tai and Summer grew very rocky when Tai didn't go back to work to make money leaving Summer as the main breadwinner. Tai wanted a divorce but Summer didn't want her children to have a broken family. Tai started to take his anger out on Y/N as he was the main reason why he couldn't leave Summer. Things got real worse when Summer went on a mission and never came back. Summer was pronounced dead after her body couldn't be found. Tai thought he could get rid of Y/N but found out that Summer had left a large sum of money for Y/N so he could take care of himself and his sisters for a long time.

That's when the full on torture began Y/N had no clue he had any money given to him all he knew was his life was a living hell. Tai managed to convince Yang that Y/N was the reason Summer died and why they were poor. At first Yang didn't know the truth but when she found out she still tortured him just for fun. The only one who loved Y/N was his little sister Ruby. She knew the truth and never believed the lies. Ruby would feed Y/N after breakfast, lunch and dinner when her father didn't. Ruby would fix her brother's clothes when he needed them she'd also find books for Y/N to read. When Tai and Yang were gone she'd play games with Y/N. She promised herself that she'd give Y/N both sisterly, motherly and whatever type of love Y/N never got and needed.

Today was a new day I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and a loud voice yelling "get down here shit stain". Hi my name is Y/N and the voice yelling at me is my father Tai. No I'm not adopted, no I'm not someone else's kid, my mother gave birth to me she didn't take me in I'm a Xiao Long through and through. Personally I'd prefer to be called Rose since my mother loved me and didn't abuse me. "Hurry up dip shit" a female voice says that's my older sister Yang she is about as worse as my father. "Come on Y/N please hurry" another feminine voice says "no Rubes you gotta be more aggressive if you want the fuck up to hurry" Yang said. The first voice is my younger sister Ruby she's the only who's nice to me the only one who cares besides my uncle Qrow.

Before Tai comes up here and drags me downstairs I get up and get dressed for the day. I look at the sleeping bag I use as a bed thanks to Ruby for finding it for me at least the floor is comfortable now. I quickly rush down the stairs to the dinning room only to be met with a large yellow gauntlet to my face. I wind up on the floor the person who punched me was Yang she used her new shotgun gauntlets she made at Signal. "Your late boy, breakfast wasn't ready so your sisters ate cereal instead, you're lucky I don't kill you" Tai said. I fix my jaw as my broken teeth grow back "I'm very sorry sir, I didn't know you'd all be waking up so early" I said.

Tai smacks me into a wall "no excuses you know your dear sisters deserve eggs and bacon for breakfast not cereal" Tai says "yes sir I'm sorry sir it won't happen again I promise" I said. "Good now I got to get ready for work today" Tai says leaving the table. I knew the bastard didn't work he was just going to blow his unemployment money on gambling and booze. When Tai leaves Yang kicks me in the jaw " I need some training for school tomorrow come on" Yang tells me as she grabs me by the throat and drags me outside. I tried to tell her I was chocking and couldn't breathe all she did was laugh at my struggle. "Stop your making me laugh, honestly you'll be fine you lungs will adapt" Yang said.

Yang threw me against a tree "stay still" she said I did as told. Next thing I knew she shot me in the knees "oh oum that hurts" I said in pain as lay there on the ground. "Pssh don't worry you'll heal" Yang says next thing she gets closer to me and looks at the holes in my knees. Next thing I know she james her fingers in my wounds and starts forcefully removing the pellets. "Oum damn it that hurts, why are you doing this?" I ask in agony. Yang slaps me "would you stop that we need the wounds to heal properly" Yang tells me. It may seem like she cares right now but she loves seeing me suffer. I've done nothing to her so why does she do this to me all I've tried to do is be a good younger brother to her.

After Yang cleaned herself up and cleaned me up she whispered in my ear "you weren't bad for a virgin, this won't be the last time". Yang left me there by myself with my thoughts. It hit me when she left I had been raped and it wasn't going to be the last time. I pass out from shock from it all I didn't dream it was just black. I wake up later in my room I see I'm in pajamas and Ruby is sitting next to me. "Hey little rose what are you doing?" I asked "I helped you back here after Yang left you" she answered. It hit me she had seen what happened then I remembered what I did and what Yang did. I find a garbage can and throw up in it Ruby comes over and slowly pats my back "easy now" she says.

After I finished throwing up I sit back flashbacks hit me and I cover my face crying. Ruby hugs me and kisses my cheek "let it out" she says. We just sit there she doesn't say anything else as I cry. After some time I stop crying Ruby tucks me in "soon Y/N" she whispered in my ear.
