Chapter 25: Gathering Info

Streets Of Vale

After Rider helped Ruby and Penny escape from the Atlas soldiers the two girls turned down a corner and ran as fast as they could. Out of nowhere a car came flying down the road and was about to hit Ruby. Luckily Penny got in front of the car and stopped it with her hands. Ruby was suprised to see Penny do that. Before Ruby can say or ask Penny anything Penny grabs Ruby's arm and takes her down an alley way.

Ruby is confused as to what is going on and is waiting for Penny to explain things to her. "What was that back there?" Ruby asks "you see Ruby I'm not a normal girl" Penny answers. Penny puts her hands in front of Ruby and she sees the metal beneath the torn skin on Penny's palms. "You're like my brother" Ruby says Penny shakes her head "no". "I am not like your brother with his nano machines, I am an artificial life form" Penny says. "Like a robot?" Ruby asks Penny.

"Kind of I am the first artificial life form capable of generating an aura" Penny explains to Ruby. "I was created by the scientist and doctor Sylvia Irene to be the gap between human and machine" Penny says to Ruby. To the suprise of Penny Ruby listens and understands and takes the information calmly. "It doesn't matter to me Penny I am your friend and you are a regular girl" Ruby tells Penny.

This is a suprise to Penny and she is glad to have a friend in Ruby. Penny is overjoyed and both girls celebrate with a hug. However the celebration is short lived when the two Atlas soldiers appear around the corner and run down the alley after them. Suddenly Rider jumps in front of the two girls and aims his bow at them. "Sorry you two but I need you to run, I'll hold them off" Rider tells them. To the suprise of both Ruby and Rider Penny steps forward and offers herself up to the Atlas soldiers.

This action keeps Ruby and Rider safe as the Atlas soldiers take Penny away. Before she goes she gives Ruby and Rider a thank you and a goodbye. Ruby and Rider look at each other Rider still confused as to what just happened. On the way back to the transmit tower Ruby explains everything to Rider.

Time Skip

Junior's Bar

Outside of Junior's bar we see Yang, Neptune and Benny. "Listen you two Junior doesn't exactly answer right away when he feels threatened so don't do anything stupid leave that to me" Yang tells them. "I will leave the talking to you" Neptune says "what about you jolly green giant?" Yang asks Benny. "Don't worry about me I will leave the shady stuff to you" Benny answers looking down on Yang who gets a bit nervous.

The three enter the bar and see that it is empty and is a mess. "Junior get your ass out here" Yang yells. Junior comes out from the back "not this bitch" Junior says as he walks over to the bar. "Deal with them" Junior says suddenly his henchmen appear and draw their weapons on the three. Melanie and Miltia also show up with their weapons.
"Can we fight now?" Neptune asks Yang "okay I give you permission" Yang answers.

Soon a fight breaks out between the three and Junior's henchmen. Benny draws his sword and activates the plasma saw. All it takes is one swing to knock out all of the henchmen. Melanie and Miltia are all that is left they are afraid of Benny because of his strength. This fear distracts them from Yang and Neptune about to attack them. Before Melanie and Miltia can do anything Yang and Neptune knock them out.

Junior gets nervous and is about to grab his new rocket launcher. Before he can grab it Benny turns his sword into a rail cannon and aims it at Junior. "I am not a violent person but don't think I won't hurt you" Benny tells him. Taking the warning Junior doesn't grab his rocket launcher and surrenders. "What do you want blondie?" Junior asks Yang. Yang slams her fist on the counter "I want information about Roman Torchwick" Yang answers.
