Chapter 8: First Day Of School (Part 2)

Back in Port's class we see Weiss all ready in her combat outfit. In a cage Port has captured a boarbatusk. He plans on releasing it so Weiss can fight it. Her fighting and slaying it will show what makes a huntsmen and what a huntsmen must do. In the audience we see Ruby cheering for her teammate to succeed. We also see that something is wrong with Y/N. Y/N has a bad feeling that something is going to go wrong.

I don't know what was going on with me but when I usually was around grimm nothing happened. But right now I felt this itch in the back of my head I just couldn't explain it. Port told Weiss that she would need to show what she said and what I said about what makes a huntsmen and what a huntsmen needed. To do this he revealed the cage with the boarbatusk in it. Port said that Weiss was going to have to defeat the grimm quickly without any problems. Something was off with that boarbatusk it seemed weak but for some reason it kept staring at me.

Ruby was cheering Weiss on loudly telling her that she could do it. As was Yang she said show the others how to kill a grimm. However the cheers clearly embarrassed Weiss I guess Rider was right about the Schnees they embarrassed easily. Port opened the cage and Weiss began to fight the boarbatusk. At first it seemed like Weiss had the upper hand she was doing well. But she still didn't kill it her strikes kept bouncing off it's impenetrable hide.

Ruby began to call out to Weiss telling her to stab it in it's stomach. Ruby was right a boarbatusk's weak spot was it's underbelly. However Weiss did not take the advice well. Ruby kept telling her she to stab the grimm but Weiss wouldn't listen. Finally Weiss yelled at Ruby very loudly. "Listen here you dunce I do not need your help here so stop telling me what to do" she yelled. Then right away her rapier got stuck in the boarbatusk's tusks. "She is just like every other Schnee their arrogance is their downfall" Rider said. "Giver her a chance Rider" Benny said "no he is right I've seen how the Schnees operate" Chris said. "Thank you for agreeing with me fang face" Rider said to Chris "yeah no problem blind man" Chris replied.

I shushed the two off them as I was watching very intentively. I could see a strange red power growing inside of the boarbatusk. Weiss went to get her weapon but the boarbatusk's threw it away from her. The grimm was ready to charge at the girl lucky before it hit her Weiss activated a gliff. She would then grab her sword and stab it in the stomach like Ruby had previously suggested.

Weiss though it was dead but the grimm wasn't. I could see that strange red power build up inside the soulless creature. "Kill it" a strange voice whispered into my ear. I looked around for who did it but I ended up seeing no one. Weiss had began to walk away from the downed grimm but it slowly got up and lunged at her. She tried to block the attack but failed. Luckily I was quick enough to transform my arm into its shield form. I pushed the overcharged boarbatusk back then transformed my arm into the claws. Quickly I used my claw hand to jab my bladed fingers into the stomach of the beast.

I walked over to Weiss but the boarbatusk's moved slightly. Quickly my hand became it's scythe blade and with one motion I cut it's head off. As my arm changed back to normal everyone began to cheer. "Okay class we are dismissing now I need to go talk to the headmaster about this" Port told the class. As he left he stopped by me "good job my boy" he said to me. I went over to Weiss "are you okay?" I asked "I didn't need your saving thank you very much" she answered.

I sighed Rider was right about their pride and arrogance. Ruby ran over to us "ohmyoumYNthatwasamazingWeisareouokay?" Ruby asked very fast. I calmed her down "slowly now Rubes" I said to her. "Are you okay Weiss?" Ruby asked "yes as you can clearly see I am fine, next time I don't need you telling me what to do, since the day I met you you've only ever acted like a child and I believe Ozpin made a mistake by selecting you as leader" Weiss said leaving us.
