Chapter 8: First Day Of School

It is early in the morning the sun rises above Beacon academy. We look inside the dorm room of team CYBR. They are all asleep in their beds. However we see Y/N stirring in his sleep. Immediately he awakens from hi sleep from the nightmare he just had all night. He realizes that today is the official first day of school. So he creeps out of bed and makes sure not to wake up any of his teammates. Y/N goes and takes a shower to wash away all of the dirt and sweat.

I had awoken from that terrible nightmare I had. I don't know why I haven't had these nightmares in such a long time. I guess it's from Yang being here. I know I should be over it now that I'm stronger and she can't hurt me anymore. I guess I still have some things to work on. I notice that all of my teammates are asleep still. Chris is was sleeping with his upper half hanging off the bed. Benny was snoring loudly with his pillow over his face. Rider was sleeping with his head buried with his head in his pillows and blankets.

I looked at the time and saw that it was still 5 o'clock. Plenty of time for me to get ready for the day. I got up and went to the shower to clean up. In the shower I washed all of the sweat off my body. Man the nightmare did a number on me ever since attending this school my emotions began to show and I started feeling things I haven't felt in a long time. I didn't care to look at all of the scars on my body half from Yang and Tai and the other half from the evil doctor guy.

When I finished the shower I put my arm back on. The metal plate on my socket connected to the screw on my arm. My nano machines kicked in and re-secured the connection to my arm. My team was still awake I decided to cook breakfast. I asked Glynda if we had any food in our room. She answered back saying our kitchen in the room was fully stocked. I ended up cooking eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. The smell began to fill up the room and the noses of my teammates. Chris began to sniff the air and his tail began to wag. "What is that amazing smell?" Benny asked waking up. "Yes it does smell good" Rider said waking up "I smell meat" Chris said. "It's breakfast you three" I said "good morning to all of you" I added.

"Yeah good morning Y/N" Benny said "it is an okay morning" Rider said "dude I had no idea you could cook" Chris said. "Yeah yeah look we have enough time for all of us to shower and eat so get to it" I told them. "You are right I need a shower" Chris said "no fang face I'm bathing first" Rider said. "Uh no hawkeye I'm the one going to bathe" Chris replied. Next the two of them began to push each other. "Benny stop them" I asked Benny got up and sat his plate down and walked over to the two.

He grabbed each one by the collar of their pajamas. "Listen up you two there is enough room the showers for both of you two bathe if you hadn't noticed we are in a very decent size room" Benny said. "I don't want to bathe with flea bite here" Rider said "yeah there is no way I'm bathing with blind man's bluff" Chris said. "You two will get along here and now, we are a team we will be friendly towards each other" Benny said in a deep tone.

Both Chris and Rider got the memo and went into the showers reluctantly. However they did mumble things under their breathe when they went in. Benny returned back to the counter and resumed eating his food again. "I will say Y/N you are a good cook" Benny said. "Thanks I never did thought you could be so scary" I said "oh that my grandfather always taught me to be the moderator in a fight as soon as it gets out of hand you put a stop to it" Benny said.

"That is some very smart advice" I said "more?" I asked "yes please, thank you" Benny answered. I slid another egg on his plate to eat. "I will say this dorm is larger then most" Benny said "yeah my guardian miss Goodwitch is to be thanked, she always goes above and beyond to help me" I said. "Well remind me to thank her for the large bed and all of this food" Benny said laughing. I smiled for the first time in a long time I guess Benny just had that presence about him.

Time Skip

Chris and Rider got out of the shower and got ready. While Benny was in the shower the two ate their breakfast. "Listen you two I need you to stop the fighting, Benny is right we are a team and we need to be there for each other" I told them. "If you say so Y/N I will respect your wishes" Rider said "okay Y/N blind man...I mean Rider and I will get along" Chris said. I then told them that a lot of people here will make fun of us for our extra accessories. If someone pokes at us for our differences we shouldn't hurt them just ignore them and walk away.

Benny finally had gotten out of the shower and got dressed. We all were now ready for class. We had plenty of time to get there so we wouldn't be late at all. Our first class was going to be with professor Port. Before we left Benny took me aside and talked to me. "Listen Y/N you are my friend and I'm sure you know who is going to also be with us in class" Benny said. I sighed "I am aware Benny if she does anything she knows she'll be expelled from school" I said. "Hey Y/N if the big tits bitch does anything I'll tear her face off and shred her boobs to nothing" Chris said. "Fang face is right if she tries anything her heart will become my next target" Rider said. I looked at the three of them "thanks guys for everything but we need to get to class" I said.

Time Skip

We made it to class with time to spare I noticed that Ruby and her team were nowhere to be seen. I also saw that Jaune and his team were also missing. Time ticked down and Port was about to start his lesson. Right as he was going to start both teams crashed into the class. "Ah team RWBY and team JNPR, you both barely made it, next time be more like team CYBR and show up early" Port told them.

Each team took their seats Yang looked at me I ignored her but I could tell she was glaring at me. I looked at Ruby I was signing to her why she was late. Ruby signed back telling me that they were rearranging their room. I signed back "bunk beds?". Ruby nodded answering my question. I signed to her not to be late again. Then I signed to her "how is it dealing with Yang?". Ruby signed back "she's okay, she still tries to be big sis but she hates hearing your name".

When we finished signing Port began his lesson for the day. He started out by welcoming all of us to his class. Then he began to explain to all of us the purpose of attending his class. Soon it went to him telling us that Vale and the other three kingdoms provide a safe haven for people from the soulless grimm. He said that the the purpose of these academies was to teach young people to become hunters and huntress to kill the grimm. The lesson then turned into Port telling us about in his childhood he had captured a beowolf as a young boy.

I will say the lecture was boring as was the life story. I saw Ruby drawing something. I used my enhanced vision to see her drawing a crude picture of Port calling him "professor poop". Her teammate Weiss was getting angry watching Ruby draw her picture. Ruby then began to balance her school supplies. Then she balanced a pencil on her nose ignoring the story.

It was then Port asked the class who possessed the traits of being a true huntsmen. I raised my hand Port called on me to answer Weiss was mad that she didn't get called on. "You need to be smart and skilled and must be willing to do anything to prove yourself" I answered. "While yes those are what is needed but can someone tell me what makes a huntsmen?" Port asked. Again Weiss raised her hand to be called on. Port called on her to answer the new question.

"A strong will to fight and a sense of justice is what a huntsmen needs" Weiss answered. Port clapped "good answer miss Schnee" he said. "Now to prove this you will face off against a creature of grimm or as I call them prey" Port said.

A/N: Hey readers sorry it took such a long time to post a new chapter but I've been super busy with other stories. Do not worry all this week this story will be getting my utmost attention. There will be one new chapter all this week to make up for lost time. I hope readers like how it is going so far and are ready for the next chapter coming tomorrow.
