Chapter 32: Y/N Gone

Vale

On a beach in Vale we find James Ironwood standing looking out at the city. Behind him appears Glynda Goodwitch, she slowly approaches him. "Care to tell me what is wrong?" Glynda asks Ironwood. Ironwood sighs "lately I am becoming distrustful of Ozpin"  Ironwood answers. "Why is that?" Glynda asks Ironwood. "I suspect that the dear headmaster is hiding something from the two of us and acting too passively" Ironwood answers.

"I assure you Ozpin has far more experience then the two of us, you should trust him more" Glynda tells Ironwood. However Glynda sees that something else is bothering Ironwood. "There's more to it, that's not the only thing bothering you?" Glynda asks Ironwood. "You'd be correct" Ironwood answers "care to tell me?" Glynda asks.

"I was going through some of Clark's old notes and saw some things that bothered me deeply" Ironwood answers. "Why were you going through that egomaniac's notes, you weren't doing what I think you were doing?" Glynda asks. Ironwood looks down "We were going to try and reinstate the arbiter project" he answers. Glynda slaps Ironwood across the face. "But after seeing that it was impossible with a candidate like Y/N I shut it down and got rid of any information on it" Ironwood says.

"That's why you were going through Clark's notes?" Glynda asks "yes that's where I found it" Ironwood answers. "What did you find James?" Glynda asks worried. "Apparently Clark had an interest in three others with unique semblances and did a little experiment on them, which helped him with Y/N" Ironwood answers. "You aren't talking about them, are you?" Glynda asks. "Unfortunately I am" Ironwood answers in a serious tone.

Mountain Glenn

Back at the camp in Mountain Glenn we find Blake, Weiss and Yang talking amongst themselves. "So have any of you figured out what your motivations are?" Yang asks the two. "I am aware of the shady business dealings of my father's company since he became CEO, I've seen the people he has hurt and I want to change the company for the better" Weiss says looking over at the sleeping Rider.

"Before I came here I was in a relationship with someone who I thought was a good person and wanted to help people like us but eventually I saw his true colors, now I just want to figure out what I can do to resolve many years of hatred between humans" Blake says. Yang puts her hand on Blake's shoulder and tries to reassure her. "You will be able to do that and more" she says.

"That's not just it though I'm afraid, I've made many mistakes in my life, I gave up and ran away" Blake replies. "Unlike Ruby who from the start has always wanted to help people, I was afraid that I could never live up to her because of my past mistakes, seeing now that I can't hold on to the past, knowing that I needed to move forward and do what I can to change, I need to do that and more in this profession" Yang says.

"Ruby is a child though, so it's not a fair assessment" Weiss claims "all of us are children" Blake counters. "We are future huntresses it is our duty to protect people no matter what, everything else should come second" Weiss reminds them. Oobleck who is listening in on the girls smiles hearing everything they said.

I was still watching over everything when I felt something touch my shoulder. I don't know what happened but my body acted on its own. I grabbed whatever it was and threw it over my shoulder. My arm quickly transformed into a shotgun. Before I could fire a shot off I regained control of my body. I realized that it was Yang who I was about to kill.

I backed away quickly "sorry about that" I apologized "don't worry about it, I deserve far worse" Yang says. I help Yang up and she dusts herself off. "It's my turn to take watch" Yang says "alright then" I reply. As I am about to leave Yang grabs my arm and stops me. "Look Y/N there is something that I want to you to know" she says. "And what would that be?" I asked curious. "There are a lot of things that need to be said and it's kind of hard for me to say them" Yang says.

"There are many things that need to be said and others that are best left unsaid" I replied. "Y/N I'm so" Yang was about to say before I interrupted her. "Yang I know what you want say and I figure it must be difficult for you, all I was say is yes" I said. "Well then I think you should see this then" Yang says handing me a note. "Night" I said walking away "night" Yang replied.

Time Skip

I went to go find my spot to sleep for the night when I saw Zwei get up off of Ruby's lap and run away. Immediately I ran after him so he wouldn't get lost or hurt. "Come on dude, this is not the best place to run away" I say calling out to Zwei. Eventually I find the little dog peeing on a wall marking his territory. "Really Zwei, here?" I ask the little dog annoyed. Zwei stopped peeing then barked at me. "Seriously Zwei, don't go marking your territory" I tell the dog.

Down below I heard noises I looked over the ledge of the building and saw some white fang members patrolling the area. Zwei barked again but I quickly silenced him as to not give our position away. I decided to follow these white fang members to see where their base is. After awhile of following them those white fang lead me straight to their base. "Good now let's get back to the others" I say to Zwei.

As Zwei and I were about to head back to camp I felt a weird sensation. I began to losing sight in my eye that, was when the floor started to collapse. Luckily I was quick enough to grab Zwei and avoid falling. Right then I lost feeling in my arm then the spot where I landed collapsed. With my arm I threw Zwei to safety while losing my arm in the process. With that I fell down into the darkness and where ever it lead.

Time Skip

Underground City

I don't know how long I fell down into the darkness but eventually I hit the ground. For some reason it hurt a lot more then it normally did. "Look what the cat dragged in" a voice said "dude you are a cat" another voice said. I got up and saw that two white fang members were the ones talking. They took out clubs and were about to hit me. I tried punching them but I realized that my biotech arm was gone. "Damn it" I said "you are right" one of the white fang said hitting me in the head. Normally my nano machines would act by themselves and protect me but this time they didn't. With that I blacked out and fell to the ground.

Mountain Glenn

Back at the camp Zwei returns to camp barking loudly. Everyone wakes up "what is it Zwei?" Ruby asks. "What is it?" Weiss asks "come Zwei tell us" Yang says. Zwei barks some more "someone get the dog to shut up" Chris says. "Your a dog and you don't hear us complain when you bark" Rider replies. "Hey I am a noble and dignified wolf" Chris says. "No fighting you two" Benny says breaking the two apart.

"Where's Y/N?" Blake asks "wasn't Mr. Rose done with his turn on watch?" Oobleck asks. "I saw him go to bed when I told him it was my turn" Yang says. "Well where did my big brother go then?" Ruby asks. Zwei barks getting everyone's attention "what is it Zwei?" Ruby asks. Zwei jumps off Ruby's lap and runs around a corner. Everyone watches as Zwei pulls what looks like a black metal arm.

Instantly everyone recognizes the arm as Y/N's arm. They know that this can not be good whatsoever. What happened to Y/N and is he alright.
