Chapter 10: Say Nothing

We find ourselves in professor Oobleck's class. He is giving a lecture on the event known as the faunus war. In the audience is Y/N and his team along with team RWBY and team JNPR. Y/N is listening intentively as are his teammates. Y/N however can see that Jaune is sleeping during the lecture.

I could see that Jaune was sleeping during the lecture Oobleck was giving. I already knew everything about it and I was getting bored but even with that I was still awake. "Because of this war faunus are discriminated, how many of you here have been discriminated because of who you are?" Oobleck  asked the class.

I panned around the room Blake looked down I knew what she was I wish she wasn't embarrassed by it. Next I noticed that Velvet was looking embarrassed as well when she raised her hand as another student did. Hers I could see she had that look on her face that she always has when she's upset. I got her attention I signed to her that it was going to be okay. She signed back saying she was alright.

Oobleck commented that ignorance was the reason groups like the white fang existed. He wasn't wrong I knew the evils of humans they hated those who they thought were different or inferior.

After that Oobleck continued on with his lecture. Next he talked about the advantage the faunus had in the war. Oobleck asked the class if one of us knew the answer. I saw Cardin throw something at Jaune waking him up. "Hey" he said waking up frantically Cardin laughed a bit.

"Ah Mr. Arc nice of you to wake up, do you know what advantage that the faunus had during the war?" Oobleck asked Jaune. He was confused he didn't know the answer to the question. Jaune was starting to struggle he didn't know what to say. I managed to get his attention I made circles with my eyes trying to tell him the answer. "Night vision Jaune night vision" I mumbled "um the answer is... binoculars the faunus had binoculars" Jaune said triumphantly.

I sighed as everyone else in the class laughed at Jaune. "No Mr. Arc I'm afraid that isn't the answer I was looking for" Oobleck said. Cardin was laughing until Oobleck called on him "okay then do you know the answer then Mr. Winchester?" Oobleck asked Cardin.

Right away Cardin stopped laughing he scoffed then. "It's easier to train an animal then it is a soldier" Cardin said. I couldn't stand that I wanted to say something but Blake said something first. "You know Cardin it's mindless goons like you and your team that give faunus a bad name and the reason why the white fang are around" she told him.

That angered Cardin he stood up and slammed his fist on the desk. He was going to lunge at Blake but I reacted quickly. My arm changed into the plasma caster I pointed it at Cardin a blue dot was on his forehead. He gulped "if I'm a goon then he is a walking gun"  Cardin said.

"That is enough Mr. Winchester you will stay after class with Mr. Arc, Mr. Rose I suggest you leave now and blow off some steam" Oobleck said. My arm returned to normal I grabbed my bag and left the class. Before I left I turned around I saw Ruby waving goodbye. "The answer is night vision professor the faunus had night vision which helped them win certain battles that took place at night" I said as left the class.

Time Skip

I was meditating on the rooftop of the school. I needed to find some peace right now emotions I've haven't had in a long time were starting to show. Then there was that voice talking to me in my head which wasn't helping me. I began to think of things to help Jaune I saw him struggling in everything. I don't know why I felt like I should help him I guess Benny's way of thinking was rubbing off of me.

While I was meditating and thinking I felt a hand on my shoulder. I quickly reacted by grabbing the person's wrist then elbowing them in the knee and then finally flipping them over in front of me. Before I realized what I had done I noticed that Blake's head was on my lap and her wrist was still in my hand.
