Chapter 42: Waking Up

Beacon Academy Nurse's Office

Coming out of a peaceful dream Y/N awoke in a panic and began to freak out. It took both Benny, Chris and Rider to hold Y/N down, stopping him from hurting himself or anyone else. "Calm down Y/N, its over now, your safe" Benny said. Y/N looked around in a panic and saw Blake standing there with the others. He saw the tears in her eyes "I love you" Y/N said before passing out again. Y/N's teammates slowly let go of Y/N as he falls back into the bed.

"What the hell was that?" Rider asks irritated "I don't know, I've never seen him cry like that" Chris answered. "That was the look of pure fear and terror" Yang said remembering the times Y/N made that face. "Is he going to be okay? Is my big brother going to be okay?" Ruby asks with tears in her eyes. "He had a mental breakdown, so it is all up to him if he wants to get better" Ozpin answers entering the room. "This is all your fault, that bastard found out that Y/N was here because of you!!!" Blake yells of Ozpin. "If I hadn't told you who he truly was that day he wouldn't of been able to reconnect and forgive Yang and he wouldn't of been able to make the bonds that he's made these school years" Ozpin says.

Blake grows silent "still, Y/N is passed out and no one knows when he is going to wake up" Weiss says speaking up. "You should see the other guy" a voice says, everyone turns around and sees that Y/N is finally awake. "Y/N!!!" They all say besides Ozpin running over to Y/N's bedside. "Slow now, I feel like I just went twelve rounds with a prize fighter" Y/N says as they surround him. "Your awake" Benny says "you scared us there for a second" Chris says wiping the sweat off of his forehead. "I can't remember much of what happened" Y/N says.

"That might be what's best" Ozpin replies after taking a sip of his coffee. "What happened?" Y/N asks concerned, everyone grows silent. "For oum's sake someone tell me what happened because it's all fuzzy to me" Y/N demanded. "Dad, I mean Tai arrived and you two got into a fight" Yang says finally speaking up. Y/N suddenly gets a pain in his head causing him to tense up. "Is that...all that happened?" Y/N asks grabbing his head from the pain. Yang shakes her head "no, that's not all that happened" Yang answers.

"What did I do?" Y/N asks sitting up with tears in his emotionless eyes. "You went into a berserker state and basically beat him within an inch of his life, if you weren't pulled out of that trance you would of killed him" Yang answers. Y/N looks around at the others confused, they all look down "your sister is telling the truth, you almost killed your father, he has been transfered to a hospital in Atlas, no one knows if he'll live to see tomorrow" Ozpin tells Y/N.

Y/N grows silent and falls back into his bed, he looks down at his hands and sees his biotech arm. Y/N tightly closes his biotech arm before suddenly removing it and throwing it across the room. "I'm nothing but a weapon, a gun that walks" Y/N says with dismay after learning of what he did. Blake grabs Y/N's hand with Ruby "big brother you aren't a weapon" Ruby tells Y/N. "Y/N, I love you, I want to have a life with you, I know that you aren't a gun, you know that you are what you choose to be" Blake tells Y/N with tears in her eyes.

Yang walks over to Y/N with his biotech arm in her hands, she hands it over to him once she reaches his bedside. Y/N grabs it and reattaches the arm to his body. Once his nano machines reestablish a connection Y/N opens and closes a fist. "I am not a gun" Y/N says, his girlfriend and little sister hug him tightly. "Y/N, I think its best that you know that the duos have started" Ozpin says. "Those are already going on?" Y/N asks "yeah, they just announced the duos for each team that have won" Chris answers.

"Weiss and I are the ones paired up" Yang says "after Jaun and team JNPR's match is over the duos will begin" Rider says. "So, who have they picked out of us four to be a duo?" Y/N asks. "They picked you and me" Benny answers "but after what happened I've convinced the others in charge of the festival to change their pick" Ozpin says speaking up. "Now its going to be me and the blind man" Chris says "don't remind me" Rider says with disgust in his voice.
