Chapter 11: The Best Around

Beacon Academy

Outside behind Beacon academy we see Jaune training hard with the Y/N and the rest of team CYBR. Right now Jaune is having sparing with Y/N. Jaune isn't doing so well he seems to be struggling to block then attack. Jaune goes in to attack he swings downward Y/N blocks. Y/N goes to kick Jaune but he jumps back. However he trips over a stick and loses his balance. Just when he gets his balance back he turns to see Y/N's hand in it's pistol form. "You lose" Y/N says as Jaune let's out a sigh.

Jaune was doing okay so far he could attack but he didn't put much into it. Same with his dodging he knew when to evade but he wasn't aware of his surroundings. "Listen Jaune I'm going to need a lot more effort from you" I said to him. "I'm trying Y/N but I'm tired from all of Cardin's errands" Jaune said "there is no excuses" Rider told Jaune.

"Don't mind him he always comes off rough around the edges" I said. "Thanks Y/N" Jaune said "but he is right I know Cardin is working you like a dog but when you trip over a stick that's not cool" I said picking up the stick Jaune tripped over.

"Hey um Y/N could you like not wave that stick around" Chris said. I looked over and saw Chris wagging his tail uncontrollably. I moved the stick around Chris was eyeballing it and moved his head around. "Just throw it already" Rider said grabbing the stick then throwing it far.

Chris then immediately chased after the stick running through some bushes. "Now Jaune you need to learn how to focus not only on your opponent but your surroundings as well" Rider said to Jaune.

Rider and Jaune began to their training Rider began shooting arrows at Jaune. I took this moment to sit down for a minute. Jaune was doing good so far "he shows promise" Benny said sitting down next to me. "With a little more help he'll do great things" I said "with our help Jaune will lift boulders" Chris said crawling out of the bushes with the stick in his hands.

"You are right but he'll get to a point where he won't need our help" Benny said grabbing the stick then throwing it again. "Asshole" Chris said before he ran off after the stick. "How far have you gotten with his aura training?" I asked Benny. "Even without a semblance like mine Jaune is progressing very well he just needs to learn how to not let his deplete so fast" Benny said.

"Come on Rider that hurts" Jaune said in pain I looked over and saw Jaune with an arrow in his rear. "It's a good thing your doing with him" Benny said "I don't like seeing people get bullied and not being able to do anything about it" I said. "Either way Jaune needs to stop being a push over" Chris said coming through the bushes.

"Like you needing to stop giving in to your animal instincts" Benny said throwing the stick one more time. Chris was going to go after the stick but he stopped himself. "Alright Jaune it's Chris's turn to train you, don't go easy on him flea bite" Rider said patting Chris's shoulder.

"Okay Jaune your going to fight going all out" Chris said as he went into his inner beast form. "He's dead" Rider said "give the guy a chance" Benny said. The three of us watched as Jaune was avoiding Chris's attacks. "He does have potential though" Rider said "that's good to hear you say most people would give up on him" I said "but that's not us" Benny said.

"Hey Chris give him a break" I said "if you say so" Chris said changing back to normal. Jaune was sweating like crazy and was out of breath. "Here take this" I said tossing Jaune a water bottle. Jaune caught it and began to drink it. Jaune's scroll then went off. He read the text message he had a depressing look on his face.

"Who's it from?" Chris asked "it's from Cardin" Jaune answered. "What's he want?" I asked "he wants me to get to work on the dust project and to get some rapier wasps" Jaune answered. "What do you want me to do?" Jaune asked "I want you to do what he says for now so we can see what he's scheming" I answered. "We need to get ready for tommorow miss Goodwitch is taking us to forever falls" Benny said.

"Am I strong enough to stand up to him yet?" Jaune asked. I went over to him and put my hands on his shoulders "listen Jaune after we're done training you you'll be the best around" I answered. "Nothing will ever keep you down" Benny said Jaune had this sense of confidence now. "Don't let that confidence turn into arrogance if you do you'll end up like the Schnees" Rider said.

With Team RWBY

All of a sudden Weiss let's out a loud sneeze. "Bless you" Ruby says "do you have a cold?" Blake asks "no I'm not sick" Weiss answered. "Maybe your frozen heart is getting to you" Yang said. "Like your one to talk" Weiss shot back that angered Yang "whatever" she said.
