Chapter 40: Rage

"I finally found you, you little piece of shit, you thought you could hide from me" a voice said behind Y/N. This familiar aggressive voice sent a shiver down Y/N's spine and froze him in place. Slowly Y/N turned around as the pain in his chest began to hurt more and more. There he was the one person Y/N had hoped he wouldn't see, a person that Y/N wished would never have found out that he was still alive. Tai Xaio Long, Y/N's father and the source of all his pain, the person who sent Y/N out allowing him to be captured and experimented on.

Quickly in Y/N's mind flashes of him being beaten and tortured over and over again in his mind. The questions of how and why were asked in Y/N's head as he couldn't speak. "Y...y...you" Y/N said faintly "yeah its me" Tai replied glaring at Y/N. Y/N nervously grabbed onto to the wrist of his biotech arm and squeezed like he use to do to cope. "Why ar...are y...y...you h...here?" Y/N asked Tai stuttering "why do you think? I'm here to kick your ass for all of those years of hiding from me" Tai answered popping his knuckles.

I didn't know what to do, it was like all of those years of trying to overcome and forget weren't working. A strong sense of fear overcame me, my brain couldn't process anything else. The scars from all of the things Tai did to me started to burn and sting all of a sudden, like my body was experiencing the trauma over again. I had always feared that this day would come, I hadn't want to face down Tai and confront him. Not for fear of me killing him and not fear of my new abilities failing, it was fear that I would be incapable of doing anything.

"Are you just going to stand there or do I have to go over there to give you your beating?" Tai asked me. I almost fell to my knees but my legs wouldn't allow me to. "You can't do that, not anymore" I said backing away slowly from Tai. Tai just laughed at me "last time I checked I could do whatever I want to you" he said pulling out a sword. "No, no, no, not today not ever" I said as a tear fell down my cheek. Tai continued to laugh as he walked closer and closer to me.

I looked around and saw that no one was watching and they weren't going to do anything to stop Tai. Suddenly I heard a voice in my head speak to me. "Kill him" it said, it was the same voice I heard that day during the grimm invasion and many other times before. "Unleash your power and make that coward pay for all the pain and suffering he put through" the voice said. "No, that isn't me" I said trying to fight the urge to kill Tai and give in. "Remeber the pain, remember the suffering, remember the torture" the voice said.

Suddenly flashes of me killing Tai over and over back when those scientists tried to condition me to become a killer. "This once remeber your true nature, your true calling, everything those men did to you was so this moment could happen" the voice said. Was the voice right? Should I just give in and unleah everything?. The voice thought so "you know I am right, if you don't kill him now he will tear you away from all that you have gained, friends, two sisters and her, the one you truly love" the voice said. That was it I couldn't hold back anymore "fine, I give up" I said.

As Y/N said that his golden eyes turned black as strange markings appeared around them. "Get ready you piece of shit" Tai said as he charged at Y/N before he could do anything. Just as Tai swung his sword at Y/N, something happened that Tai couldn't of predicted. Y/N grabbed the blade of Tai's sword with his regular hand and shattered the blade into pieces. Surprised by this happening, Tai wasn't ready for Y/N to punch him in the face with his other hand. The force of Y/N's punch sent Tai crashing into one of the festival stalls destroying it.
