Chapter 28: Uninvited Guest

Beacon Academy

As the dance continues through the night Y/N watches as his teammates are hanging out and having fun. He notices Ruby and Benny with Jaune all three of them are acting kind of awkward. He sees Jaune looking over at Weiss who is with Rider. Y/N knew that Jaune wanted to go with Weiss even though she wasn't his type or good for him. Blake notices Y/N watching everyone so she decides to get his attention.

"Hey Y/N I think we should go get some air" she suggests "yeah that is a good idea" Y/N replies. The two of them leave the dance and find a balcony where they can be alone. Y/N leans on the balcony and looks down at Vale in the distance. Blake walks over and leans on Y/N's shoulder. Both of them look up at the night sky and see the stars.

"You know the night sky is always amazing to look at" Blake says. "Yeah but I could think of something else" I reply. "Really now, what would that be?" Blake asks in a teasing tone. "Well besides you I can't really think of anything else" I answer. "Your such a charmer" Blake said punching me in the arm playfully. "I'm glad we went to the dance" Blake says "yeah me too, I feel like we deserve a break" I replied. "The festival is coming up are you going to sign up for single matches?" Blake asks.

"Maybe, it honestly depends on how I'm feeling" I answer "knowing you, you'd probably beat everyone and absorb their weapons" Blake says. "Yeah, I don't think I'll be doing that, I'm not a jerk you know" I reply. "So have you and Yang made up yet?" Blake asks. "Not necessarily, I think we've come to an agreement, both her and I care about Ruby and only want her to do well" I answer. "That's always good to hear" Blake says "yeah saves me the trouble of having to worry about her doing something bad to Ruby" I reply.

"I can tell something is bothering you" Blake said "you could tell?" I ask "you know me Y/N and I know you" Blake says. "You know me a little bit to well" I reply "I can tell that you don't trust someone" Blake says. "That is true those three students walking around, something about them just bothers me" I said. "If your gut is telling you something is wrong you shouldn't ignore it" Blake says.

"Don't worry after the dance I have a plan that might help me get a better understanding of who they are" I reply. "But that's not all is it, something else besides those three is bothering you?" Blake asks. "With the festival coming and Ruby and her team participating I have is this strange feeling that he'll show up and he'll recognize me" I answer. "Are you afraid of what he'll do?" Blake asks putting her hands on my shoulders.

"No not anymore I have something that I didn't have back then" I answered. "And what would that be?" Blake asks hugging me. "Besides my new power I have friends who care and will help me out with anything" I answered. "You also have me, don't forget that" Blake tells me. "Don't worry I will never forget about you" I reply kissing her.

Time Skip

Blake and I went back inside and watched as Jaune came in wearing a dress. When Blake asked why he was doing that I explained to her the deal he made with my team and I if we weren't able to get dates to the dance. We watched as all of team JNPR did a dance together. It was fun to watch however something caught my attention. I looked over and saw Mercury with the Emerald girl dancing together.

That wasn't what was bothering me it was that the Cinder girl wasn't with them. It also seemed like they were keeping an eye on all of us students. I decided to do a little investigating to see where Cinder was. I told Blake that I was going out for a little bit and that I would be back. She looked over at Mercury and Emerald and said "be safe". I kissed her "don't worry" I replied as I left to go outside.

Once outside I jumped on to the roof of Beacon academy and began to track down Cinder. In order to find her my nano machines began to track her vocal patterns, her scent tracks and her vitals. It didn't take me long to find her over at the Cross Continental Transmit System tower. Now knowing where she was I decided to go and see what she was up to.
