Chapter 9: Dealing With A Bully

Today we see in miss Goodwitch's class she is having Jaune and Cardin spar. This duel is supposed to teach the other students about aura. Jaune is clearly outmached in this fight. Cardin laughs at the display Jaune is showing. Jaune continues to try and strike Cardin but is failing. Cardin continues to laugh and mock Jaune as they continue to spar.

Jaune swings with his sword but Cardin blocks it and tells him that this is where he ends it. However Jaune refuses to submit which prompts Cardin to knee Jaune in the gut. As Jaune is in on the ground Cardin goes into finish but is stopped by miss Goodwitch. She calls the match and says that Cardin won.

Miss Goodwitch pointed out that Jaune's aura was low. In a tournament like setting this would mean that Jaune would be out. Miss Goodwitch then scolds Jaune for not watching his aura levels. She says that if he does that Jaune then can form a strategy.

Jaune goes up to his seat upset his friends comfort him. Before Miss Goodwitch can continue Cardin suggests something. "Miss Goodwitch since Jaune did not show the proper way to use aura how about I duel someone else" he says. "You are right Mr.Winchester, but who would duel you?" Miss Goodwitch asks. "I have an idea how about Y/N Rose from team CYBR" Cardin suggests. Everyone gasps and looks up at Y/N who wasn't paying attention.

I was focused on how Jaune fought during his spar. It seemed like he was convicted but lacked any real training. However I quickly noticed that his aura training was non existent. And when he came back up to his seats we all comforted him. Honestly Cardin was a jerk and fought dirty. But he wasn't worth my time so as Glynda continued to talk I focused more on how I could help Jaune get better.

I was deep in thought when I felt Benny tap on my shoulder. "What is it Benny I'm thinking" I said "oh miss Goodwitch wants your attention" Benny said. "Uh yes miss Goodwitch what do you need?" I asked. "Mr.Y/N I need you to come down here and spar with Mr.Winchester" she answered. "Really, wouldn't that be very unfair?" I asked "hey who do you think I am Rose?" Cardin yelled at me.

I sighed "a good for nothing going, but if you insist we fight we shall" I said walking down to the arena. I could tell Cardin was mad but I couldn't tell why. He may of been arrogant but didn't he worry about himself. Either way I'd get this over with quickly and get back to figuring out a way to help Jaune.
"Okay you two the rules are simple the first one to either have their aura fall into the red or submits is the loser" Glynda told us.

I nodded and went to my side "time to put you in your place" Cardin said to me as he went to his side. "Let the duel begin" Glynda said starting the duel. Cardin charged at me I simply stayed still. Cardin smiled thinking he was going to win or something. He swung his mace down on my head but I caught it. He tried to pull it away but my grip was too strong for him. "Let go you one armed gimp" he said.

Cardin tried to punch me in the face but my cells hardened. Making so Cardin would feel like he is punching a steel pillar. "Oum what the hell that hurt" he said letting go of his mace as he grasped on to his hand. It was then I decided to finish this fight. My arm molded into his mace as my nano machines began to absorb his mace. I decide to also destroy his mace since he wouldn't be needing it.

Now fully absorbed I dropped his mace to the ground. As it hit the ground it shattered into tiny pieces. "My weapon now you are going to pay" Cardin said angrily. My hand began to change into the weapon I absorbed and upgraded. My hand turned into a metal ball and fell to the ground with a laser-like chain connecting it to my arm.
