Chapter 1: Learning To Live Again

"Hide got to hide" the young Y/N thinks to himself as he's running through the snow. He continues to run until he finds a tree to hide under. He sits there and thinks about what had happened to him. He remembers the pain of being tortured by his father Tai and older sister Yang. But he also remembers the man he met at the market the one who gave him an apple and then kidnapped him. Suddenly flashes of the man experimenting on him cutting of his arm ripping out his eye. The man having Y/N kill those people and his sister over and over again.

When the memories ended Y/N looked at his arm it was a sleek black metal arm. Y/N moves his fingers then the grow long and thin he remembers killing the man who kidnapped him. Suddenly the arm turns back to normal while this is going on Y/N notices he's only in a hospital gown and isn't cold from the snow. Y/N hears footsteps coming from behind him causing him to turn around in fear. The person approaching Y/N is a woman with blonde hair and green eyes.

I remember that day like it was yesterday  I was saved from my tormenters. The people who saved me were Glynda Goodwitch and a man named Ozpin. They were notified of me by a man named James Ironwood a general of the Atlas military and a scientist named Sylvia Irene. Apparently the Atlas military were developing soldiers to fight along side their robots. Ironwood wasn't aware that I was kidnapped until Irene notified him so he confronted the my kidnapper only for him to try and use me to kill him.

I had been gone for four years so my guess was that my family thought I was probably dead. I wanted to go back and take care of Ruby but I wasn't strong enough yet. I didn't tell Goodwitch or Ozpin who my parents were all I told them was what my father and older sister did to me. They were appalled by the stories and the fact I got away from  torment only to end up being tormented again. Glynda offered to take me in and take care of me I accepted. After that Glynda began to teach me things that I needed to learn from in school. It was kind of easy I don't know how to explain it but my brain already knows the answer.

Time had passed and I was considered a genius I discovered that the nano machines in my body increased the percentage of my brain I could use and how fast it worked. Something else I discovered was that I could alter my body to do some very incredible things. My semblance no longer made me heal faster and made it so I could go longer without eating now I could do things like breathe underwater, survive extreme temperatures and even regrow lost limbs except for my arm and eye. I can also copy people's semblances for a short period but I have to see them use it. Which isn't a problem because my eyes can detect just about anything. Another useful things is while I can copy semblances I can also nullify them.

My arm can not only turn into weapons it can hack and upgrade technology, it can also absorb new weapons and destroy other people's weapons. I trained myself how to fight, how to shoot and how to avoid fighting. I still can't show my emotions yet I can't cry, I can't laugh I can't even smile. Doctor Irene comes by every now and then and checks up on me seeing how I'm doing, how my bio tech is doing and to see if there are any changes with me. Ironwood also comes by he occasionally tries to recruit me into the Atlas military every time he asks I just say I don't kill.

These past two years I've spent training and learning how to be a normal person have been very hard but it helps when you make friends with hunters in training. Because Glynda is a teacher at Beacon academy and Ozpin is the headmaster I get to roam around the campus on my free time. I've made friends with a team of second years their names are Coco Adel, Fox Alistair, Velvet Scarlatina and Yatsuhashi Daichi. their team name is CFVY short for coffee I found out Ozpin has a thing for acronyms. Besides that I made good friends with everyone on team CFVY they all have their quirks and things. Coco has a thing for clothes and can be a perv, Velvet is quiet and shy she is very self-conscious about her ears, Fox can be very sarcastic sometimes but he's very laid back he once accidentally read my mind he promised to never tell anyone since then I've made my mind unreadable lasty is Yatsuhashi I just call him Daichi for short he is a big guy and is very self-conscious about it he is a protective person when someone bullied me for my arm Daichi scared the bully off however he doesn't like his semblance he can erase people's memories when he found out I could do with semblances I had to explain to him I could only nullify them not erase them.

As the start of a new school year was coming up I asked Ozpin if I could join the academy all he said was maybe. To continue my training I needed to become a huntsmen and join a team like my mother. I realized that the start of this school year could mean that Yang would probably come to school here. I began to think about what I would do would I avoid her, fight her, tell her who I am and that I'm alive or just not go to school at Beacon. I decided that I'd just avoid her I'd make sure I wasn't on a team with her and that I wouldn't talk to her.

I went out at night to go patrol the area for some reason there had been a lot of dust store robberies by the White Fang. What was weird was that they didn't take any money just the dust. What was also weird was that at each robbery was that a human man was leading them. After tracking down some leads and talking to JR I found out that the man's name was Roman Torchwick. Roman was a very bad man but what I still couldn't figure out why was the White Fang working with a criminal like him. Yeah I knew that recently they've became very criminal like because of their new leader but they still wanted to better the lives of all Faunus in Remnant.

While patrolling I entered the shopping district I wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be any robberies tonight. I came upon a store called "From Dawn To Dust".

A/N: Okay everyone here is the first official chapter of the Robotic Rose. And this one leads up to Y/N's encounter with Ruby how will he react to seeing his sister again and what will she do when she sees him. I have decided to release a few more chapters until the decision for what type team is Y/N going to be on. As of right now the decision for which paring the story is going to have looks like it might be Blake but until then it's not for sure so for those readers who haven't voted yet vote now.
