Chapter 45: The Start Of The Fall

The finalists for the Vytal festival were almost done being decided. Y/N, Sun Wukong, Penny Poledina, Pyrrha, surprisingly Mercury Black and three others. The match with Yang and Weiss against Neon Katt and Flynt Coal of team FNKI from Atlas academy. Y/N himself wasn't sure if he was exactly ready to be fighting again after what happened and his short recovery. Besides that, Mercury Black not being eliminated from the tournament and Y/N himself being in the finals instead of Chris or Rider bothered him.

Y/N didn't know what was going on and had a bad feeling that something was coming but he didn't know what it was. For now Y/N was going to be outside of the city where he could find some quiet and meditate. Y/N found that meditating was a way he could find some sort of inner peace and delve deeper into his fractured mind.

Forest Outside Of Vale

I needed to find a place where I could meditate in peace, there was the spot in the woods near Vale that I would go to when I needed quiet. I had told my team and my sister along with Blake that I would be gone for a bit. I also told them to message me when it was about time for me to begin my match. My reason for coming out here to meditate was that something was bothering me. I didn't know what it was, I couldn't put my finger on it but I wasn't going to let it continue to bother me.

I found my spot and sat down, I took a deep breath in and out as I went into a trance. My mind began to open as my body finally began to release and relax.

Mindscape

It didn't take me long to enter my mindscape, this was the place I went to when Tai would be done abusing me along with Yang. I didn't get to come her much when those scientists were experimenting on me. Somehow they were able to alter this space and use it for that mental training they put me through. Now it was back to being an empty space ready for me to do anything. "Show me the voices" I said to myself, as I said that the black void began to change. It went from being dark and empty a white room with what looked like two pitch black figures.

"Play that one first" I said pointing at the first shadow figure. "My arbiter, you will help me achieve my goal and kill all who stand in my way" the shadow figure said. This was one of the voices I had been hearing for some time now. It started around the time I joined Beacon as a student and when those cyber grimm started popping up. "Who are you exactly?" I asked myself "I am your creator" the shadow figure answered. That was all that I knew about who the voice belonged to. They kept telling me that I was theirs and that they created me to accomplish their goals.

"Play the next one" I say pointing at the other shadow figure. "Join me and you will have everything you dream of" the second shadow figure said. This one, I had heard this one when that boarbatusk had that energy surge. Every time a new grimm I faced would have one of these, I would end up hearing this voice. Unlike the first voice this one sounded more feminine. Also this voice wanted me to join whoever they were and they would give me what I wanted. While it may of not sounded so threatening then the first voice there was something about it that made me not want to trust it.

"Why do you want me to join you?" I asked the second shadowy figure. "I am apart of you as you are apart of me, I need you and you need me more then you will ever know" the second shadowy figure answered. Before I could think any further something outside set my senses off. It was dangerous and coming at me fast.

Forest Outside Of Vale

I quickly opened my eyes and began to fire my upgraded plasma caster at a black figure charging at me. There was an explosion and large cloud of dust began to block my view. Suddenly a large blade like arm cut through the dust revealing a large grimm covered in armor that had a long blade for a hand.
