Jakes POV
I wake up at 7:30 and get ready for school. I throw on black jeans and a red shirt. I slip my white Air Forces on and grab a hoodie. I slip my black hoodie on and grab my bag. I look to my dad rooms to see His door shut. He probably just got home. I grab my keys off the island and head outside. I drive to school and park near the back. I then make my way inside and dap people up as I walk to Erika's locker. I see her in the distance and I walk up behind her. My arms wrap around her waist and I kiss her cheek
J- you look hot today
She's got jeans with a black shirt and white vans
E- thanks
She rests her head back on my shoulder. I see her eyes starting to close
J- did you sleep last night
E- *sighs* no
J- why
E- I don't know you seemed off
J- I'm fine trust
J- I can bring you home
E- I'm good
J- you need anything tell me,okay?
E- okay
J- here grab your books the bell is gonna ring and I'll meet you in first
I let go of her and make my way to my locker. On the way chanthony show up beside me
C- Paul
J- chance
An-heard what happened after practice
J- yeah he better keep his mouth shut or I'll kill him.
The bell rings. We get to my locker and I put everything away and take my notebook and a pencil out.
C- you Know he's kidding
J- thanks genius I know he's joking but like you still don't say that type of stuff
An- I'll catch you guys in class
C- me too
They go to there lockers while I walk to class. I walk in and the teacher watches me
Te- why are you late Paul
J- I was having a social life
Te- sit
I go sit and the back with Erika. The teacher starts to teach and then chanthony walk in
Te- boys just sit
They sit in front of me and I lay my head in my arms. I stare at erika as she writes down the notes on the smartboard.
E- are you gonna write the notes or are you gonna stare at me all day
J- take it as a compliment
She smiles and I open my book up and start to write the notes. After a long time the bell rings and we all stand up.
Te- wait wait wait sit
We all sit
Te- when you guys go to second just say I had to talk to you guys but I have made groups for a big project
She says people's names
Te- chance and Olivia
Te- Anthony and Kate
She says a couple more peoples name
Te- Erika and Lucas
J- not happening
Te- what's wrong Paul
J- it's just not happening
Te- I can't switch it
J- why
Te- because I've pair people with the highest mark and the lowest
J- don't I have the lowest
Te- actually you are doing pretty good
E- Jake just leave it
J- I'm not
E- just continue
She says more peoples names
Te- Jake and Taylor
I hit my head on the desk
Te- you all can leave
I get up and leave the class not even looking back
L- I love my partner Jake
J- shut the hell up
I go to my locker and grab my other notebook. I walk to my class and I feel someone grab my wrist. I look back and it's erika. I take my wrist back
E- what the hell was that
J- nothing
E- you're partnered up with one of the hottest and smartest girl in school, you don't see me complaining
J- the only person that is hot and smart is you
I say as I walk backwards. I turn around and walk to my next class. I get in and go sit with chanthony
C- how do you feel about being partnered with the hottest and smartest girl in school
J- I feel nothing
An- dude he has a girlfriend
J- I'm just ready to fuck Lucas up
The teacher starts to teach a lesson and I pay attention not like the boys.
Lunch
I have lunch fourth period so I haven't seen erika in two periods so let's see what happens. I walk with to Erika's locker and I see her putting her books away but Lucas stands next to her. I slow my walk down to see what will happen. After Erika puts her books away she turns to him and he hands her his phone. I guess she puts her number in and then she gives it back. He then leaves and I walk up. I stand at the locker beside hers
J- hey bubba
I face her and put my head on the locker.
J- your other classes went good
E- yup
J- you want to eat here or go somewhere else
E- don't care
J- don't give me short answers you usually have an answer so fast
I go behind her and put my chin on her shoulders. My arms wrap around to the front of her.
J- let's go to the diner
I grab her hand that was going to wallet and pull it down. I shut her locker and lock it
E- Jake I-
J- could pay pay for it yeah I dont care
I grab her hand and we walk to my car. We get in and drive to the diner. Once we get there we head inside and sit at the booth. I sit across from Erika and then Billy walks over to us
B- the usual guys
J- yeah
He soon comes out with two waters and places it in front of us
J- I saw Lucas at your locker
I say before having a sip of my water.
E- yeah we are getting started on our project tonight
J- really
E- yeah it's supposed to take a long time
J- what is it about
E- *smiles* your in the class and you don't know what it's about
J- *smiles* I was to busy writing down the note that you told me to write
E- it's about the war
J- thanks billy
He sets our food down
