Only after Can is able to forgive Sanem will he be able to mend his broken heart. In this last episode, Can is hurting and feels betrayed not only by his own brother but by his Love...his Heart...his Sanem. He's angry because he now realizes that Sanem's reluctance to be with him all along wasn't for the reason that he thought—that she was this sweet, pure, innocent girl not sure about getting into a relationship with him which made him want her even more. Now he realizes she was running from him because she was hiding behind this terrible conspiracy and felt guilty of her feelings towards him. Now he thinks that innocence is gone and he's lost trust in her. He had treated her so delicately almost like a porcelain doll, as we saw him caressing her hair, catching her falls, being a respectful gentleman, careful of his words...all because he was so captivated by her, so deeply in love with her and wanted so much for her to want him back. And now finding out the truth about the lies and the secrets, he is crushed. He's angry and his first reaction is to say mean things to get back at her. Of course he's not thinking of her, he's thinking only about himself, but understandably so. He wants her to hurt just as much as him. He's being... human. Perhaps he's being kinder than how many others would have reacted. And he won't be able to get rid of this anger and hurt unless he finds peace and is able and ready to listen to Sanem. Only then will he be able to forgive her. But he needs time. Time to heal. His image of her was shattered. His heart is broken. He feels he's lost his Sanem forever. Almost as if she... died. And because he doesn't know how to forgive, he feels he must obliterate her from his mind completely which would explain that incredibly sad scene of him burning her pictures.

But what he doesn't realize is that all the things that made him love her in the first place is still there in Sanem. Her quirky and cheerful character, her love of writing, her love of the Galapagos and the Albatross, her intelligence and creativity, her sense of humour even her cute tendencies to daydream and be clumsy. He especially loved her innocence and naivety, characteristics that got her into all this trouble in the first place. If only he would understand how she got tricked into thinking he was the "Kötü Kral" or the "Evil King" and that she only did what she did because she truly believed she was actually doing good despite her wrongful actions...he needs to know that once she realized who the true Evil King was, she stopped the deception but it was too late...she had fallen madly in love with him and so couldn't unravel the damage she had done. At Sanem's 'love confession', Can asked her why she didn't want them to be together, and she told him that she loved him more than she loved herself. He should now understand what that meant...that she felt he was too good for her and that she didn't feel that she deserved him after all the lies. She was even willing to punish herself by giving up this great love (although he wouldn't let her). All this needs to be conveyed to Can. But telling him won't be enough. He may not believe anything she has to say now. Perhaps the evidence of her true feelings lies in her novel about the Kötü Kral, that she wrote as the events were unfolding...hopefully he'll get the chance to read it. I don't know how else...but however the writers decide, Can needs to forgive Sanem...before they both give up on this epic true love. Please please EK writers...don't leave us romantics hanging! Let Can and Sanem be together! 🙏❤️
