Despitebeing surrounded by the supernatural in Mystic Falls, you still had to do regular human things. Like go to the dentist. You sit in the passenger seat of Damon's beloved convertible, bouncing your leg. He puts a hand on your knee to get you to stop.
"(Y/N), I love you, but stop." You let out a breath.
"Sorry, I'm just nervous. You know I hate the dentist. It also doesn't help that I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed." He shoots you his signature, heart-melting grin.
"Yeah, well, I won't let anything bad happen to you." He interlocks your fingers and kisses the back of your hand, making your stomach erupt in butterflies that don't belong to nerves. Too soon, he pulls into the parking lot. You practice deep breathing as he turns off the car and helps you out of your seat in less than two seconds.
"I hate this," you mumble. He kisses your cheek and leads you into the office.
"Yeah, but you know what? A good video will come out of it!" Damon exclaims. You glare at him.
"Damon Guglielmo Francesco Massimiliano Carlo Raim- you know what? I don't have time to say your full name. The point is, no video," you chastise. He chuckles and kisses your temple.
"(Y/N) (Y/M/N) (Y/L/N), I will be taking a video." You grumble as you check-in. You sit down and soon enough, the dentist calls you back. You whimper and sink into your seat.
"I don't wanna," you whine. Damon laughs and helps you up.
"You've fought Klaus Mikaelson, zombie Alaric, been abducted by werewolves, and you're scared of a minor surgery you'll be put under for?" You smack his chest and pull away from his hold.
"Seeing how you're 150 years old, you wouldn't understand," you hiss under your breath as you walk toward the dentist.
"180, but thanks for the compliment, gorgeous," he calls after you. You swallow your pride and head into the scariest event of your life.

You float through the air on a weird alien spaceship bed. Before you can ask the masked man how long until they'll let you go back to earth for some McDonalds, a sexy man walks through the door.
"Is that Damon?" you ask the masked man. He nods, removing his mask to show a human smile. Weird.
"Hey, baby, how're you feeling?" Damon asks. You flex your fingers and check your tongue, only to find nothing. Tears well up in your eyes.
"My tongue is gone," you cry. He chuckles and you throw some of your gauzes at him. "It's not funny! We can't kiss anymore." He walks over and kneels beside you.
"(Y/N), your tongue is still there. You just can't feel it because of the medicine." You cock your head lazily at him before laughing. He furrows his eyebrows but grins. "Why are you laughing?"
"I feel like a bobblehead," you slur. He snorts and shakes his head which makes you laugh harder. "You look like a bobblehead." He puts his hand on your knee while keeping his phone's camera pointed at you. You look into the camera and give it the finger.
"That's my girl," Damon laughs. You look at a woman alien and beckon her over.
"Can I tell you a secret?" you ask. She nods, trying to contain her smile. "That's my boyfriend. He's got a really big di-"
"Okay, (Y/N), the doctor says you can go." He picks you up slowly and carefully before nodding at the dentist. "Thanks."
"No problem. Make sure she relaxes and eats soft foods," he instructs.
"Soft foods? Like cotton candy?" you ask, getting excited. The dentist shakes his head, smiling.
"Yes, like cotton candy." You cheer as Damon carries you out of the spaceship. He sets you in the passenger seat before speedily making his way over to his side. Your eyes grow wide and you scream as he gets in the car.
"You're stupid fast! What the fuck?" He puts a finger to his lips and gives you a dreamy wink. "Oh, right. You're dead," you whisper loudly. He snickers and puts the car in reverse.
