The pain of your loss for Harry is instant. He's used to losing people he cares about, but he promised himself- and you- that you wouldn't meet the same fate.
Yet, you did. You jumped in front of a spell for Harry, killing you instantly. And, in more ways than one, killing Harry himself. He avenged you quickly without remorse.
There was nothing anyone could do besides watch in agony as Harry cried over your body, refusing to let anyone take you from him because once you leave his arms, he knows you're gone for good.

It happened so fast that Ron barely had time to react. You were in the midst of battling with Snatchers, hellbent on taking you to Malfoy Manor (unbeknownst to you four at the time). A killing curse deflected and hit you, killing you instantly.
The golden trio paused long enough to watch your body hit the ground, and that was long enough for the Snatchers to take them to Malfoy Manor, leaving your body behind. Once there, it caught up with Ron. It sent him into a painful rage, throwing curses at anyone close by.
Ron lost a large part of himself that day, and he never truly got that part back. It's lost in the wilderness where your body still lay, only memories and heartbreak to prove you existed in the first place.
