Waking up to the sounds of rustling trees. The wind bustled through the branches of the trees, making the leaves howl peacefully. Looking around at my surroundings along the loose dirt pathway in the woods.

Noticing Damon was already awake staring into space, deep in thought. His back rested on a tree looking up at the sky. I couldn't help but stare at his jawline and Adam's apple. I could see from the morning glow that he had stubble growing on his jawline. There was a small scar on the corner of his jaw.

Damon noticed me staring at him as he smirked. "Good morning." I muttered, unable to hold eye contact with him. I hated the feelings he gave me blushing as I got up. I regretted getting up so fast when I became lightheaded again. Stretching my aching muscles from the uncomfortable position I was in.

Holding my head and accidentally touching my wound and winced, forgetting about it. He noticed the pain on my face and saw an emotion I couldn't quite place flash through his eyes. "About time you woke up. We need to start walking." Damon replied, annoyed as he stood.

"Come on." He began walking back to the street making me do as I was told. I struggled to follow him, still feeling the events of last night. Damon stopped to open back to his car taking out a first aid kit from his trunk. "Sit. We can't have people seeing you like this." Damon demanded not looking up at me. Rolling my eyes and sat down as he started opening the first aid kit.

Damon opened a water bottle that was in the trunk and put some of it on a washcloth. He started to clean the blood from my forehead.

"What? Like I've been abused and abducted?" I answered sarcastically. Damon glared at me, tensing his jaw. "And a simple please would suffice." I mumbled in annoyance, making him scoff.

I tried to move my head away from him, but he stopped me by holding me by the chin still. I tried to ignore the warmth and the tingles I felt from where our skin touched.

When the wet cloth met my wound, I winced in pain. Damon instantly pulled back the cloth and let his hand go on my chin.

"Sorry." He said under his breath. "I'm not helpless. I can clean it myself." I was annoyed at his confusing mood swings. He's the one that caused my wound and now he is trying to make it better.

Damon just rolled his eyes at me as he replied. "Don't be so stubborn. You won't be able to clean it all yourself." He replied as he cleaned the blood off my forehead. "Now stop moving."

I sighed and let him clean my head in silence. After I felt the blood was no longer all over my forehead, I broke the silence. "Why are you being so nice to me? Not even a few hours ago you were trying to kill me." I said to him as he continued. "I've already told you, Luna. I wasn't trying to kill you. I was trying to abduct you. There's a difference." He answered annoyed. I tried not to blush at how my name rolled off his tongue so easily as I replied.

"You had a gun. Damon." I replied using emphasis on his name. "It was just a dart gun to incapacitate you in case you fought back. But I didn't have to use it since you fainted from your blood loss." Damon said, pointing to my head.

"It was your fault. You pushed me." I replied childishly. He ignored me as he finally finished by putting on a band aid. "There." Damon said in annoyance after a few seconds of silence before stepping away after doing the same thing to my knees.

I brought my hand up to my head carefully and felt the band aid over my forehead. "Thank you. It feels much better." I said honestly looking up at him awkwardly. He cleared his throat, obviously uncomfortable with my kindness, also making me smile amused.

I began to walk away to the direction of the small town he pointed to last night waiting for him to follow me, I felt his eyes on me. "Are you coming?" I asked
