(16) Ouch

Keith's P.O.V:

    The pillows and blankets Lance had given me kinda smell like him.. I wonder if the alpha cologne covered my scent? Hopefully it did. My heat has barely started and I really hope it doesn't last long, I'm already incredibly tired... I did what most omegas do and started to make a nest out of the pillows and blankets, and decided I'd make it in the corner of the room.

   Once I was finished adding the last pillow, I decided it was as comfy as I could get it to be and went to sleep.

   The next three days were insufferable, not to mention it felt like I was trapped in my room. Even though my heat is over, my scent is still a little strong so I took a suppressant and sprayed some alpha cologne on before I headed down to the dining hall for breakfast. I was actually pretty excited to be getting out of my room.

   Once I arrived I was practically tackled by Lance with a hug. "You're better!?" Lance asked enthusiastically. I just nodded as we separated and sat in our seats. King Alfor signaled for a maid to get my meal and said "Its great that you are feeling better Prince Keith!~" Allura nodded her head in agreement. "Thanks again for the extra blankets and pillows Lance." I said quietly. "Oh its really no problem!~" Lance replied cheerfully. I turned my attention to the empty chair beside me. "Wait where is Lotor?" I mumbled.

   "Oh, right.. he has been eating his breakfast in the garden since you've been sick." Allura replied with a wink, probably still teasing me about Lotor being a possible mate. "That sounds like him, anti social Lotor." I said as the maid came back with my meal and placed it in front of me. I told the maid "thank you" as she set down my drink and she left with a smile.

  It was nice to be eating my meals here instead of in my room, during my heat my beta guards would fetch my meals and I'd eat alone in my room. It's much nicer eating with Lance and his family. It's much better to eat with them then my own family. "Is everything ready for the ball father?" Allura asked as she turned her attention to King Alfor. "Yes sweetheart everything is ready, and the invitations have been sent out accordingly. Don't worry your pretty little head about the party." Alfor responded cheerfully. Had to admit that I'm kind of jealous of the relationship Lance and Allura have with their father.

  I nudged Lance's arm and whispered "Wait how long until her birthday ball?..." Lance held up two fingers. "Days?" I whispered, Lance just nodded. "Do you have something to wear for it Keith?" Lance asked. "Yes I do I just kind of lost track of time.." I replied.  "Thats good, I actually have to go and make sure my outfit for the ball is ready. I'll talk to you later Keith!~" Lance said as he patted my head and left. Now its just me, the King and Allura... how awkward.

  "King Alfor would you mind me using your Altean tech to train again?..." I asked sheepishly. "Of course! You don't have to ask permission to use it, but I would recommend you take someone with you to train for safety reasons." Alfor said as he also got up to leave. Maybe I could go ask Lotor to come with me...? But I don't want to bother him...

   "I know you're probably going to ask Lotor to join you but may I come too?" Allura asked from across the table. "Oh.. Uh sure, If you want to. Im not actually certain where to find Lotor though..." I mumbled. Allura was practically beaming as she said "I'll go ask him if he would like to join us! He should still be in the garden. You get ready and if he says yes then we will both meet you down there, if he says no I will meet you down there really soon! But don't start without me!!" "Alright, I'll see you down there then Princess." I said as I got up and went to my room to get changed.

  I got here before her, I wonder if I should start..? Or wait... But then again who knows how long she will take. Its not gonna h u r t anyone if I do some training by myself. I pressed the button to the weapons room and walked straight towards the daggers. I picked a medium sized dagger and ran to the middle of the training room and said, "Computer initiate training simulation lvl 1." Im trying to get back into training since I haven't gotten to since the accident, and omegas don't keep muscle mass easily. As a fake alpha I have to keep up a training schedule to keep atleast a weak-alpha like appearance, by being at the very least toned.
