(24) Nachos

Keith's P.O.V:

Lance had piloted the last two Varagas (hours) of the way to earth, when we landed it suddenly started to feel real. I became really anxious all of a sudden, we picked up our bags and then I followed Lance off of the ship. Lance then pressed a button on the outside of it to make it camouflage into the surrounding area. Then we walked for about 2 miles until we saw the small-mansion, I'm so scared they're going to hate me.

I suddenly felt self-conscious about my ears as we walked up to the door and Lance unlocked it. "Guys I'm home!~" Three people were relaxing on a couch inside until we walked through the door, the three humans got up and the smallest of the three ran while the other two walked towards us. "Wait- Who is this?" The smallest one of the three said. "Pidge it's rude to talk about Lance's boyfriend like he isn't in the room." The one with a bandana explained to the smaller human.

"This is my friend Keith, he's a Galran Prince." Lance gestured, and I awkwardly waved. "Hi!" Pidge said. The one with the bandana waved back and the other human with black hair just smiled and said "It's nice to meet you." "Let me put our stuff down in my room first." Lance said, then took my bags from me and walked farther into the home while I was left with three strangers.

    Pidge took my left hand and walked me to one of the two couches and had me sit down with her. The one with the bandanna and the black haired human sat on the other couch. "Im Shiro, this is Pidge, and this is Hunk!" Shiro said, pointing to each of them as he told me. "Before you tell me! Um... can I actually guess your secondary genders?... If you wouldn't mind that is, I kind of made a game out of doing it."I explained, and they all looked surprised by my request. "Lance didn't tell you what they were right? You aren't cheating?" Hunk asked, obviously skeptical. I shook my head 'no' as Lance walked into the living room, and took his seat on the other side of me, then Lance wrapped his arm around my back. "So did you tell your boyfriend our secondary genders?" Pidge asked, Lance shook his head no. "He told me not to when I started talking about you guys." Lance explained.

"Boyfriend?" I asked, looking to Lance for an explanation but he looked too embarrassed to even look at me. "Its another word for the person you're c-courting.." Lance stammered, looking away from me.

"Oh. O h . Wait are you courting me?" I asked, mumbling the last part. I was looking at Lance for answers and he was blushing madly. "Lance you hadn't asked him out yet?!" Hunk exclaimed, looking at Lance in disbelief. Shiro tapped his shoulder and gestured to the kitchen behind their couch, and Hunk quickly got up and said "I hope the nachos are okay!"

I wanted to know what 'nachos' were but I felt like I was already being quite a bother to everyone whenever I asked what things meant or were. "So Lance, why haven't you asked him out? He is the same Galra boy you told us about from the last time you were here right?" Shiro asked. Lance told them about me before? "Shhhh! Please you guys are so embarrassing!" Lance pleaded, removing his arm from behind me he reached over to grab a couch pillow and buried his face in it.

I made him remove the hand closest to me off of the pillow, and held his hand. "Anyway, can I guess your secondary genders now?" I asked. Shiro nodded. Hunk shouted "Yeah!" from the kitchen. Pidge said "Of course!" "Like I said, please don't get offended if I get it wrong... But I think Hunk is a Beta, Shiro I wasn't sure but Im going to assume Alpha, and Pidge is probably either a beta or is still just a pup and hasn't presented yet." I said, then Shiro and Pidge clapped. Hunk was a little preoccupied with whatever 'nachos' are.

"The nachos are done it just has to cool down a little bit." Hunk said, taking his spot back on the couch next to Shiro. Lance finally got rid of the stupid pillow, and just kind of stared at our hands, looking like he just realized we were holding hands. "You sure you two aren't dating?" Shiro asked, I shrugged. "Lance oh, my, god. I could punch you for not asking him out." Pidge said, and I gave her a 'try it' look and then we both smiled.

"I just realized you guys dont know my s.g." I said. "We do actually, you're an alpha right?" Hunk asked. "No I'm not actually.." I said, avoiding eye contact with Lance. "What? You aren't an alpha?" Lance asked, and I shook my head no. "I'm actually an.. Omega." I replied, waiting for him to hate me for lying.. But he just pulled me closer and hugged me. "Lance?.." I asked quietly. "Why did you look like you were going to cry after telling me that?.." Lance whispered. I didn't realize my eyes were brimming with tears until he said that. "You're not mad?.." I mumbled quietly, still being hugged by Lance. "No, no.. gods no! How could I be mad at you?" Lance said, nuzzling my hair. Thankfully Pidge, Shiro, and Hunk left us in the living room to figure ourselves out.

"Im sorry.." I mumbled, and he kissed my forehead. "Don't be.. If I knew I would've taken better care of you.. Like when we were training with my father's tech- Oh my gods I'm an awful alpha!" Lance said, resting his forehead against mine. "No you aren't, you just didn't know." I said quietly. "Did Lotor and Allura know?" He asked, and I nodded. "I get Lotor knowing but Allura? How? When?" He continued. "Remember the day I woke up from the healing pod, and she came in and talked to me? She came to talk to me about it. Coran had found out I was an omega through the scan the healing pod did and told her." I said. "Both of their actions make so much more sense to me now." Lance sighed.

"Guys, I know you're having a bonding moment but the nachos are ready!" Hunk called from the kitchen. Me and Lance looked at each other and smiled before we got up. "What are nachos?" I asked as me and Lance entered the kitchen. "Sit down right now, I need to get this poor guy a plate of nachos!" Hunk said, as he gestured to the table. Me and Lance sat down, then Hunk placed a plate of 'nachos' in front of each of us. Pidge and Shiro already enjoying this human delicacy. Hunk then sat down with us, and Lance dug in. "Just as good as I remember!~" Lance exclaimed, picking up another chip absolutely covered in toppings and cheese. I cautiously picked up a chip, and ate it. It was actually incredibly delicious.

Pidge and Shiro were done eating way before Hunk, Lance and me, and went to their rooms for the night. I decided I'd stay up and help Hunk wash the dishes, while Lance just sat at the table waiting for me. "Thank you for the help!" Hunk said, as I rinsed the last plate. "Thanks for the food! It was truly delicious!" I replied, Hunk smiled and went to his room for the night. Lance came up from behind me and wrapped his arms around me. "Kitten lets go to beddd~" Lance whined. "Lead the way then! I haven't the faintest clue where your room is." I said, and then was picked up and brought down a hallway, and into a blue themed room.

Lance gently set me down on my feet, and then turned to close and lock his door. "There is a bathroom in here you can go in there and get changed so we can go to bed." Lance mumbled, and so I took one of my bags and got changed into my own pjs in the bathroom. Once I came out Lance was already changed and in bed, waiting for me. "Come to bed alreadyyyyyy~" Lance whined. I set the bag back down at the foot of the bed and crawled into bed next to Lance. Lance patted his chest, and I happily accepted the offer and laid my head down.
