Lance's P.O.V:

One minute me and Hunk are trying to determine whether the stains on the ground are blood or not and then the next minute Keith and Pidge collapse through the floor to gods know where!!

Me and Hunk had ran over to the edge of the new hole in the floor screaming their names and then came the sound of a loud thud, and we both cringed knowing that the sound was our friends finally making impact with the ground below. My first instinct told me to jump down after them, and then I had to stop myself for two reasons. One, I myself could get hurt and then become useless. Two I would most likely land on top of them. "Hunk we have to find a way down!? There has to be stairs to the lower level right!?" I asked desperately. Hunk nodded awkwardly, but I knew he was uncertain and just as shaken up by what just happened as I was.

I whirled around towards the door we came through and ran down the halls like a mad man. I felt like the part of me that made me, me was ripped away when Keith went through the floor. Not knowing if he's okay or not is driving me nuts, so when I finally found a staircase going downward I took them two at a time and Hunk struggled to keep up. It was so dark, and my flashlight barely lit anything up. I walked around a corner and then saw another light, and then realized the light was Pidge who was kneeling and shining her flashlight on Keith who seemed unresponsive on the ground beside her.

I couldn't breathe, was he okay? Is he breathing? If he was actually- I don't think I could live with myself. Hunk finally caught up, and shined his own flashlight on the two. He had been recording the whole time, and I know he's just getting our whole explorer experience on camera but it's starting to piss me off. Finally I willed myself to get closer to Pidge and Keith. "Oh thank gods he is breathing!!" I shouted after seeing his chest rise and fall, I kneeled beside him. We should've never come to the asylum. "That was quite a fall..." Hunk said as he shined his light and camera up towards the hole they fell through. 'Quite a fall is an understatement.' I was trying my best not to snap at him to stop recording.

Pidge moved so she could put Keith's head on her lap, it was better than the floor. "Should we call Matt? I mean we can't exactly take him to the hospital for.. obvious reasons." Pidge mumbled and then sniffled, shining her flashlight away from Keith's face but still looking him over for head injuries and having to avoid taking the beanie off of him, she had already taken Keith's mask off of him. "We don't have service out here and Keith could have a concussion.." Hunk added with a worried look. "It's my fault... guys. I'm so sorry Lance.. Keith took the brunt of the fall for me... He probably only did it because I'm a pup.. Im so sorry... Im so sorry.. Please don't hate me Lance.. Im so sorry.." Pidge was bawling her eyes out, I wanted to be mad at her but I couldn't. It wasn't her fault, she couldn't have known the floor was going to collapse under them. Pidge just wanted to have a fun time with her friends and explore a creepy abandoned asylum, and I knew that. "Hey now... Pidge it isn't your fault.. I'm okay- it's okay sweetie..." Keith groaned in pain, and reached up slowly to comfort Pidge. We were all silent, too shocked to speak for a minute. Then I realized I too, was crying and only realized it when Keith's voice had brought me back to my senses.

"KEITH!? Oh my gods I thought I lost you! I really thought I fucking lost you earlier!!" I shouted, as I reached for one of Keith's hands and held it tightly in both of mine. I looked down at his hand as my tears kept rolling down my cheeks. Keith slowly sat up, wincing in pain, it killed me to know he was hurting so badly and I could do nothing about it until we got him some medicine and Matt could look him over to make sure he's going to be okay. "Lance, hun please, no more yelling, my head really hurts.." Keith mumbled with a weak and understanding smile on his face. I nodded quickly, and stopped nodding when Keith used his other hand to wipe away my tears. "I was so scared Keith..." I muttered, not even really registering that I was talking. "Oh, hun.." Keith muttered as he scooted closer and hugged me as tightly as he could without the pain bothering him too much.

"Pidge is your camera still working?" Hunk asked, Pidge picked up her camera and gave Hunk's camera a thumbs up. "She's got a crack in the lens and scratches and dents but she is still recording. Let's get out of here and get Matt to look Keith's injuries over." Pidge said, and Hunk nodded. Keith tried to stand up but he seemed like he could topple over at any second so I scooped him up into my arms. "Are you dizzy??" I asked, checking for the other signs of a possible concussion. "Very... If the room doesn't stop spinning I might just throw up.." Keith muttered, holding his hand over his own mouth. Keith's head hurt, he is dizzy, and nauseous. "Whatever you do Keith just don't fall asleep alright? Focus on my voice alright?" I said clearly. "Why cant I fall asleep?..." Keith asked, looking confused and out of it. "Because you might have a concussion, so fight off any sleepiness you might have until we can make sure you're alright." Pidge explained as Hunk led the way back up the stairs and I followed right after him with Keith in my arms and Pidge behind me.

. . .

We learned our lesson and were more cautious about where we stepped on our way out of the asylum. I kept asking Keith questions just to make sure he is responding and awake. I felt bad whenever I had to adjust how I was holding Keith. Once we finally got out and left through the front entrance Pidge turned around and flipped the building off. "Take that you stupid creepy asylum!" Pidge shouted and then we all walked the overgrown path back towards where we left the jeep. We took off our face masks and packed them and our flashlights away into the two backpacks from where they came from.

"We need to get Keith's head checked out, and I wouldn't recommend anyone go inside this place after what happened here, but maybe just come here to flip off this shitty building for its creepy collapsing floors!!" Pidge said before Hunk and her turned off their night vision cameras and packed them into the trunk with their backpacks. Then we all hopped into the car and started our 4 hour drive back home, I had Keith resting his head on my lap.

We called Matt as soon as Pidge had service and  informed him about what happened and asked him if it was safe for Keith to sleep or not, Matt said if he's able to hold a conversation he's fine to rest but part of me was still a little anxious. Matt said just to be safe he'd check it out when he could. Keith was so happy when we told him he was allowed to go to sleep, him and Pidge were passed out shortly after the phone call with Matt. Pidge had leaned her seat backwards to make a comfy seat bed, and Keith had said he was fine with just having my lap as a pillow. Hunk played some very quiet and calm songs, as to not bother the two passengers that were sleeping soundly in the car with us. I felt bad that he had to drive to the asylum and back home, but I can't drive cars.. "Lance, dude you can just sleep, I'm not gonna be upset if you join the sleepy crew." Hunk said with a chuckle. Hunk looked at me in the mirror as if to see if I looked as exhausted as he thought I was, and then back at the road. "Okay... thanks." I replied quietly, soon nodding off into a deep sleep, exhausted from today's events.
